Hey guys. i am new here. first post. firs time grower. I am at the end of week one. my seeds were planted last monday after a paper towel method germination. I had a 100% success rate with germinating as i got all 5 i attempted to germinate.

my plants seem to be doing ok, but i think they may be a little slow and i wanted to see if you guys visually see anything wrong with them. i attached some pics below.

i have 5 NL autos in 3 gallons of soil each. my water is distilled at a 6.2-6.4ph level.
temps at 75-83 (75 when lights off) humidity 38-46% depending upon weather. i know humidity is a little low, i am thinking of putting a humidifier in the room where my tent sits.

tent is a 3'x2'x5' using 400watt HPS and two CFL 2700 spectrum at side lighting 1-150 watt and 1-300 tru watt.

I think that may be most of the info you need. i plan to start my grow journal tonight or tomorrow and will be doings pics along the way as well.

thanks allot for any help guys.

It's hard to tell bro, the image quality is pretty shaky. What would photos look like with the HPS light off and just the CFL's going?

Also what type of soil are you using? Looks like you've got plenty of perlite mixed in there at least, that's a good sign!

And you're just watering plain distilled water at the moment which is always between 6.2 - 6.4 yea? If so that's probably also pretty good, depending on your soil.

Yip about that humidity bro

Temperatures are good though. You know you can put the CFL's pretty close but the 400watt HPS has to sit a good couple of feet away from the plants right? Seedlings don't need much light and are much better off with too weak light than too strong light.

Let me know answers to all questions and work on getting some decent images up bro.

Welcome along and best of luck. PM me once you get some pics up and I'll swing by again.

Happy Horticulturist, thanks bud. i think you really cleared it up for me. this morning i raised my lights up to be about 16 inches away. i didnt even realize i had them about 8-10 inches away. didnt know they were that close. by the time i get home later this afternoon i will see if they improved at all and maybe move the HPS up further and the CFL's ill leave down low.

that makes perfect sense. bc even tho my temps are good it seems as though they are getting too much light and curling on the edges and they ARE only little seedlings still so hope that helps.

thanks again man.

ill post more pics later to keep my log going.

Very nice grow Diesel, I'm new here as well and trying to absorb as much information about autos as I possibly can. I'm sub'd to your grow and looking forward to the progress you make and the information from all the other super friendly growers on this site! From everything I've read on here, everyone is extremely laid back and very intelligent! Keep up the hard work and hope it pays off!
