New Grower NL First Time Grow... Total Newb

Mmm bubblelicious, hard to spell easy to smoke. Caught up but hoping for pics soon....

:peace:

Well heres my two Northern Lights, I hate how the pics are turned sideways.. They seem to be doing quite well for me seeing as Ive never grown anything ever before..

I am growing a Scotch Bonnet chili pepper and a Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper though..

The ladybugs sure are loving lying around on the Northern Lights, they must be potheads, cuz they are all gathered on my plants like it is woodstock or something.

Hope those pics turned out for you all.... Later and if you see anything I dont lemme know...

Well plants will be 7 weeks old this Wednesday...

How many weeks do these usually go?

Mine started flowering into last bit of the 3rd week... Ive also noticed some leaves yellowing a bit, but everything seems to be fine..

Do flowering plant leaves sometimes yellow?

It is my understanding that leaves will yellow as the plant nears harvesting age because it drawing stored nutrients from them. It's normal.

Check Muddys' sticky about the life cycle, I check it every grow, if you have been giving bloom nutes since the 3 week mark than the plants are getting ready for harvest. Stop feeding if vertical growth has stoped and flush with plain water and when the bud leaves start to yellow harvest. If you can check tricomes harvest when they are cloudy/amber. If you have several plants harvest at different stages (clear, cloudy, amber) see which you like best. If you let the plant go two or three weeks longer than advertised you will be well rewarded. Good luck and good karma.

So your saying just start giving it plain water and maybe at week 8 harvest...

I guess I will give the plants straight water from now on and keep my eyes on the bud leaves.

I looked at the Northern Lights strain from Nirvana and it said like 9-10 weeks, Im hoping Me adding bloom ferts as early as 3rd week wasn't a mistake..

On a good note I havent give my bubblicious any ferts at all yet...
