New Grower No smell autos help

Vap! listen to him hes put alot of time and effort into researching odor control i can tell from his posts, But i agree you have to make sure everything is covered before you start, id order all your odor control first dont wait til after you get started bcus it only takes a second for someone to get a whiff and call the cops and your scrubber and ona and ect was on the way, its best to have those first before you do anything. Im waiting on my Scrubber now i got a air purifier thats works great with odors. before flowering starts i will be getting some ONA gel to use on top of the scrubber and purifier. Im not hiding it from no one in my house but i know i will be vent air outside my home and and i want it to smell the least like marijuana as possible. Luckly i live across the street from a phratt house, where you smell them smoking green all the time so hopefully that works in my favor. But Be safe im excited to kick off my first grow but i wanna make sure it wont be my last either! :smokebuds:

7. A friendly reminder; even if you live in a place where growing cannabis is legal, security should be number 1 on your mind. It doesn't sound like you are growing in a legal area based on your posts (and if you are my apologies for being presumptuous.) If that's the case; remember it's not just law enforcement that you need to be concerned about, but others in your area. Cannabis is still a high paying commodity to many and there are people that would love to rip off someone doing all the work and taking the risks and liabilities. This your ship and you are the captain; run a tight ship and you will have smooth sailing.

This is really good advice. Knew a small time dealer waaay back in the day who's dog took a beatdown from some asshats that broke in and took his stash. He was more tore up about the dog.

I have the opposite problem, I'm growing WOS AKR for the second time and I've had no smell while growing. I read that it was stinky bud and that is what I wanted. I'm growing in coco with LED and pulling 3 oz's a plant.

Ah yes i guess. I just wanted to do one auto at a time and i am on a low budget and wanted to know if a carbon filter was essential just for one plant.. the thing is iv been watching this dudes grow box tut http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmvtpwm-JXs and i dont know where you would install a carbon filter. Sorry if i sound like a noob lol

I just grew 2 x Blue Mystics from Nirvana. I have to say, they were the least smelling plants (while alive) I've ever grown. I'm no professional, but there are strains out there that cut down on smell while growing. Those Blue Mystics did me well but they're not the smallest plants:



I do use a 4" carbon filter and fan in my little tent, but honestly the smell was very light. Anyway, good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Hey Nima.. I finished growing a speed demon 2 auto about a month ago and I had no ventilation at all and it had very little odor whatsoever. It was very easy to grow. I used nothing but 5 2700k CFL bulbs at 23 watts a peice and it came out great. Had huge buds all around the plant and it didnt get any more than 15 - 18 inches tall.

Nice Notyalc69! Cant go wrong with them pretty colors. Perfect strain for Nima small and low odor. I think im going to try them blue mystics! Im going with low odor for my second grow, bein i want to know what i will be dealing with as far as more stinker strains then if it to out of control ill go with "low odor strains"

Hey i am deciding to grow 1 auto at a time and which strains can you guys reccomend which dont smell much and stay pretty short? Also is an extractor and a carbon filter absolute neccesary? I have a little air vent which lets little bits of air that is all and a window to open every now and then few times a day to let new air in. Would this be enough? Thanks!

I cant offer advice on which strains smell the least, sorry, but with regards to your carbon filter query, if stealth growing is what you are doing then you can not be too stealthy.
Only a few weeks ago there was a massive bust in my home town due to an off duty copper walking past a house and getting a whiff of gange and then returning to the same address in an official capacity, admittedly your single plant wont smell like the thousands the Vietnamese guys were growing in a 3 story house but the lesson is clear, nothing smells like cannabis and its a smell many people recognise instantly.
I operate on a system of total paranoia, I have many friends that toke, many come to my house and smoke my grass but none of them know I grow it, they all think I buy it, they never realise when they use my loo they are actually right opposite a room full of growing ganga. I use a carbon filter and ONA gel and my house is odourless, even when I have had cheese strains drying there has been no smell escaping the grow room.
If you want to avoid a visit from the boys in blue do everything you can to hide all evidence of your activity.
