New Grower noob dropping a mephisto bean

Officially, starting my second grow. I have not finished my first grow (on day 47 of 3, and day 25 of 1 nirvana blue mystics). Tonight (after rebuilding my grow room today (grow room 5.0)) , I dropped a random mephisto bean. I bought a 3 mix pack that did not individually identify seeds and received 2 mephisto sour cracks freebies. They all got mixed together and I just randomly choose one tonight.

I am germinating in soil, in the pot I will grow in, using muddy's tiered method. I am planting in 1 part compost/top soil (home depot), .5 part cow manure, 1 part coca, 1.5 parts perlite, in a 3 gallon pot. I also added 1/2 cup of soil acidifier (home depot). I will let you know when it sprouts.

I plan to grow the other 4 mephisto beans as soon as I harvest my first grow. The pics are not the best but you can see what I have going on.

That little bit of cow manure may make it too hot ... and was that 1/2 cup of soil acidifier to a 3 gal pot ? If so sounds a little much ... I admit to not knowing ... you may be right but you may want to double check your numbers before the seed germinates ... good luck w/ your grow ...

Thanks everyone. I added the soil acidifier when I mixed the soil which was a total of about 7 gallons. I used some manure on my first grow and they seem ok. I will definitely check everything out today though. When you say "hot" does that mean I should take it easy on the early nute supplements, specifically nitrogen?

Also, my solo cup I am germinating in is stuck in the final pot mix but the cup it is full of jiffy starter mix with the bottom cut off.

Shouldn't need to fertilize til about 2 weeks ... manure should be OK since your roots probably won't hit it for about a week but I'd double check your figures on the acidifier .... you may be right, just sounds like a lot to me ...

It's officially day 1. My mephisto seed sprouted after being in jiffy starter soil after 3 days. I now have 4 nirvana blue mystics growing (around day 50) and my mephisto sprout and a mephisto bean germinating in a beer can.

I will give it a day or two then post some pics. I am hoping that someone will be able to tell me what particular strain it is as it came in an umarked mixed pack.

She is up. She looks a little pale but trying not to panic. I am going to hang the cfls over her for a few days. If anyone disagrees please let me know.

I'm not sure about the "softer" CFL's but prevailing wisdom for LED's is to have them much, MUCH further away during this stage.

The seedling is very delicate....

While I don't think you need the lights 20 inches away like LEDs, I DO think you have those too close. At least it appears that way.

With CFL's, I'd hazard a guess that 12"-14" away would be advisable. It may just appear that they are too close.
