oh and no i haven't been letting my water sit for 24hrs, just filling the bottle and watering up.....

well that could be a factor in your problems,you need to fill your bottles and let them sit open for at least 24hrs to allow the chlorine in the water to evaporate, this will also bring the ph of the water down slightly, do you still have the bag your soil was in?

Cheers Larky, still got the bag but cant see anything referring to PH on the bag thought. The pyramid which is doing ok is in a 8.3liter pot well according to my calculations 23cm diameter x 20cm length

But some things you might consider for your next grow!

1 Buy yourself a decent carbon filter and temperature controlled fan !!
2 Get some premium soil !
3 Get some airpots !
4 try to work as clean and structured as possible.
5 Maybe consider a tent and some led-lights.

i have got myself a 4inch buddha filter. I would love a tent and i have seen some stunning results with LED's but budgets really really tight just now. going to be sorting a stealth grow for my next turn round as i have a spare wardrobe upstairs thats just crying out to be abused. also we have a slopped ceiling so im intending on venting out in to the attic, thats all for a future post though. gotta get grow 1 under my belt first.

The soil i used was verve seedling/cutting soil, i was told it was ok as it has extra nutrients in the soil to help in the early days. This was before i knew you guys existed so next time you better believe i'll be bugging you guys for advice :hug:

if its seedling/cutting soil it should be fine bro, leds are expensive bro no one would deny you that one,just go with what you have now and upgrade in the future if you want, its all a learning game, you seem to be doing well so far :thumbs:

UPDATE:- New extraction fan and filter are showing for delivery today so finger crossed i can get them fitted today. My pyramid (aka Heisenberg) is growing really well now, i gave her a weak mix of biobizz in a half liter of water the other day and she seems to like it loads of fresh growth and shes really starting to bush up now.



my little Royal Queen (aka Pinkman) is slowly recovering and throwing out some fresh growth, i gave her some water (left for 24hrs before watering).


Still happy with the results so far for a first go. Got some bigger pots for my next go round, they work out to 10ltr give or take a bit.
Cant wait till grow 2 got some 00seeds auto mix.
Also have some reg NL specials and some mystery widows that i got as freebies to mess about with.
