New Grower Noob grow, N lights, Sour Diesel, Fast Haze

Redneck I agree with your comments about AFN, especially compared to other MJ forums (some seem insistant on giving poor advice and arguing with each other)

But anyhow your doing great, I cant wait to see you get your next one going, using all the tricks of the trade you have learnt already and would have gained from your new books....

:gthumb: keep it up

:stylez rasta smoke: Fast Haze gettin' ready to go down, Mahn! :stylez rasta smoke:
Took a test bud today from about a 3rd of the way up the plant and did a quick microwave dry. I wanted the missus to give it a try to see where we were at as far as "quality of high". She wants a very active head high. 100_4833.jpg
I did warn her that it would be a harsh smoke (no coughing, but yeah, pretty harsh... not cured). The missus says "Spot On!!".
We have arrived at our goal for this beauty, a very active heady high, uplifting, makes you want to talk (and talk, and talk :D:).
What an amazing feeling! This is the smoke we were after, and if it's early, so be it.
Yield has it's place, but will always take the back seat to a Perfect, Old School smoke!
Cleansing starts tonight! :dance2:
NL has a long way to go, but I think I just grew my first plant!!!
Many thanks to wg, waira, swampman, rebelroy, Muddy (lets talk blues sometime) and all y'all who made this happen. :tiphat: :yay:
I wish I could try it myself, but seeing my wife respond so well.... damn.
Ya'll are the best!!! :grat:

Okay, so I tried it too... first smoke in 2 years... bur had to try my baby. :Holy Moly: Wow
I'm sure my couple of half-lung hits don't add up to squat for you experienced smokers, but for me, well, I'm ending a 2 1/2 hour high.
Uncured, so yeah maybe not a harsh smoke, but hard.
Very heady, active, I think another puff and it would have been very visual.
 My hands and wrists don't hurt right now, from so many years behind a saw and tree climbing
:karma Cloud::karma Cloud::karma Cloud:. :vibe::beast: :karma Cloud: !!!
Oh, yeah, and :Thank You:

Thanks for the slap, swampman!
Brewing more tea tonight for the NL, cant wait to see it in action on the Sour Diesel!
The yellowing on the FH fan leaves seems to be going faster (pics tomorrow), not sure if it's just the plant doing its thing, or if it's 'cause of the new diet of straight water... I'd like to think it's being forced to use up its stored nutes and sugars.
We're looking for a local shop that carries airpots for the next grow, I'm curious what a 3 gallon will do. I want to have seeds soaking Friday :D:

So NL ... I'm really not sure how these buds develop, but we've got lots of 'em! :D
FH, I was wrong again :tiphat:.
I thought, having started a cleansing routine, that FH would lock in place, yellow, and die ( the better to smoke you with, my dear!).
But no.
Leaves are still off color, but not a hard core yellow. Lower fan leaves, yeah they're yellowing, and I'm seeing leaves at mid-height turning.Buds are blowing up. The high at this stage is spot 100_4839.jpgon for the missus , as far as a head high. Active, good functional pain relief.
My thought is to give waira's luck a try, harvest the very ripe buds , and let' er go. :stylez rasta smoke:

Sorry, my pics may be wacked on this...

My AFN family has taught me this: You're gonna win some, you're gonna lose some... now what did you learn for next time?

Wery well said my friend :High 5:

Woah! once again your thread put a BIG smile on my face :Piggy Hug: im so happy for you and the missis brother :smokebuds: buds are looking TIGHT

I wish I could try it myself, but seeing my wife respond so well.... damn.

2 hours later:

Okay, so I tried it too...

 Loved it :D :High 5:

well deserved max slap for you bud :slap:

(Pardon my delay getting back here,... the thread catch-up wheel is rolling rather wide these days!).... :stylez rasta smoke: Red, my half-eyed, yakking, snacking, butt-smacking friend!! I am sooo happy for you and the Lady!! I can tell how damn pleased you are just by seeing how your wife responded,...much less yourself! :High 5: First sample bay-bee!! And remember, what you tried by that hard core process will pale to the properly finished product, so if you're happy now, just wait! It's great that FH gave you some medi-relief,... sativas, you can't be sure, usually indica dom.'s are best for this, but that's a generalization, ...we've talked about how variable this can be strain to strain, especially with auto's... The NL should be the real ticket for this! :D: we'll see,... **** :Coolio:Ooooh, yeaaaah!! :pimp:Check the meat on dem bones! Red, she's filled out beautifully, my friend! That's what we're talkin' about! :booya: -she's in her final ripening stage, bro', if you still seeing noticeable growth, she's not ready quite yet,... yellowing is very good sign, and should continue as she starts to have to draw on what nutrients are in them as she finishes bulking up... No worries about the buzz going south Red, this is what hazes are known for! Keep watchin' dem sparkly's and leaves... if you want this heady buzz, take those parts that are under 15% amber, maybe even 10... I do partial harvests on any plant that has a wide range of ripeness,... if you can, let some go as a far as 25% amber, or whatever, just to see how it feels and changes, and thus get some calibration for the next 2 FH's you grow! **** Hah!! NL is a booosh!! Red, you are kickin' the tea-bags off this grow, man!! She is gonna get porky, heavy and phaaat! :smoke: You are gonna get nammys Horney!! Morning, noon, and night-wood :roflcry: **** Yeah, what RR said!!
