Will it hurt or be better to remove the fan leaves on a autoflower. They was blocking all the light to the lowers even tryed tucking them under didn't help so removing them be ok..
 
I think it will be okay if your plant is healthy enough. If it got sick in the past, I'd not recommend to do so. You can see the result on my plant Bubblicious. I started from the lowest node first and took the first two main leaves and check after 24 hours to see how it responds. Then keep working your way up at upper nodes until there are enough space for those side branches.
