Give a description of what setup you running, lights, soil, nutes, etc........ and watch the help come pooring in, if need be for ya. One love to ya:peace:

welcome to afn man  all you need to no is at a click of a button, nice plants your doin ok so far :bong: scottish boy you say  im just a seacat away from you in belfast :peace:

Hi and welcome, your plants look nice and healthy but I'm not quite sure if the positioning of your CFL is very optimized. Do you have any equipment to measure light output/lux/lumens? I've never measured it myself but I'm pretty sure you'd get much more light intensity if you hung the lamp horizontally.

That's also the only thing I noticed that didn't look quite right about your plants; they look a little bit stretched, not much but noticeably; which is a tell-tale symbol of too little light, which usually comes from CFLs being hung too high and like I said I don't think the position is helping.

You should think about hanging that lamp - depending on power and temperatures of course - around 24" or 60cm away from the plants, you can go closer if the temps are low enough and you'd like the plants to not stretch too much.

A little more data on your setup would indeed be helpful though.

Good luck with the grow man :gthumb:

They look great, very healthy looking plants. Tight node spacing, good structure overall. Keep it up.

nice looking plants there bro. i agree with keyser maybe get a reflecter and get your cfl closer. those aks get prity big so you might want to consider getting some smaller cfl,s as side lighting more light = more yield .what specrum cfl are you using ie 6400k or 2700k. to me it looks like yours is a 6400k used for vegging.maybe get some 2700k cfl. your ladys are gonna start flowering soon :D and they will def like the extra light. hope this helps abit .all the best with your grow.theres abit of love coming from south of the border....:peace: hazy daze

Welcome to the Farm fred, plants are looking really good and healthy. Keep it up man

Never never put a CFL 60cm away from your plants They will end up looking like a big pencil CFLs CAN be as close as 2-3inch bro:thumbs::thumbs: You are correct in saying the CFL is too high tho :smokebuds:

Welcome Fredcat Girls looking extreamly healthy bro for a first gro so what ever you are doing the keep doing it.. As for the CFLs get it closer to the plants bro say 4-6 inch The only thin is you will have problems later on keeping the CFL hung like that i know because i started out with the exact same method but mine was 125w dual spec CFL.. Keep it low rotate your plants frequently for even coverage:thumbs:

:thumbs:Agree with what's been said already. Your plants are looking real nice but you need to get the cfl closer or they will stretch, and if you can hang it horizontaly it will be more efficient. Idealy something like a sunmate reflector would do the job but if thats not an option just hang it horizontal using a wire coat hanger or something. That's what i've done with mine as my tent is too small to house a reflector. I'll get a photo of mine to show you what i mean.

Here you are

If you place it at one end you can use the lamp cord to support the other end. Not ideal but it does a job
