New Grower Northern Lights/ Jock Horror

Hmmm.... if the recommended dosage is 1.25ml or 2ml, then I'm not sure if I would go any higher than that. However, I have no experience with bottled cal/mag supplements, so maybe someone else can chime in there. I'm fairly sure that using too much can burn your plants a bit.

You can stick with your 2ml dosage, or you might replace that for the next feeding or two with 1tbsp Epsom salt / gallon of water to see if it helps turn her around. Either way, I would definitely add the Epsom foliar feeding until the symptoms go away.

Another option for cal/mag is to topdress your soil with some powdered egg shells. As long as you have a healthy microherd going and the eggs are pulverized to a superfine powder, it will start to be broken down fairly rapidly. If you decide to do this, just keep an eye on your pH as the eggshells will have the tendency to raise it over time.

Hey DS! :smokebuds:

I would disagree with the overfert diagnosis because there's no clawing at all on the new growth. I will definitely agree, however, that your lady has a magnesium deficiency. She has the yellowing between her veins and the rust-brown spots, as well as the brown tips on the leaves that are curling up.

If your soil pH is on point, then I would say she's just craving more magnesium. She's a big lady and I've found that all of my autos become magnesium hogs the first few weeks of flowering - ESPECIALLY when growing under my LED's. It's important to keep in mind that growing under LED's makes the plants consume more calcium / magnesium.

What is the recommended dosage for your cal/mag supplement? Does it list all the ingredients in the cal/mag supplement?

I use Epsom salt for my magnesium and have had really good luck with it. I might consider getting some Epsom salt and feeding at 1 tbsp / gallon of water, as well as giving her a foliar feeding with a 2% solution of Epsom salt in water. Continue to add the Epsom to your feedings, as well as foliar feedings two times per week until she gets back on track.

If you want to stick with your cal/mag supplement and aren't over the recommended dosage, you can also try upping your cal/mag as well.

I was close :D ..... Can't go wrong with this advice dude, pro fo sho :smokebuds:

No worries at all, gg! I can see why it looked like an overfert, but I think the yellowing might have seemed amplified by the leaves being close to the grow light in the picture so that it almost looked white or like necrosis. You were dead nuts on the mag def!!

Your pH is also a bit high. With your feeds at 6.4 and run off at 6.8, that indicates that your soil pH is even higher. Next feeding I would suggest you lower your feeds to around 5.8-5.9, which should give you run off around 6.3.

maybe i didnt wait long enough for my ph pen to stabilize last time for the run off, last night gave the last of the nutes till harvest, ph going in 6.5 coming out, 6.5 :) shes really starting to fill out and crystalize like mad! epsom salts introduced last night, do i need to ph the mixture for the foliar feed? pics will be in a day or so to update on the status of the deficiency, the yellow definitely slowed down between days when i upped the calmag and Budcandy. this last feed consisted of .5ml Grow Big, 2.5 ml Big Bloom, .75ml Tiger Bloom, 7ml molasses, 5 ml of BudCandy, 1.25 ml CalMag, and .75 teaspoon of epsom salts all aerated to perfection :D

Day 51

Day 51, 6.5 going in and coming out. Yellowing slowing down between the veins hopefully in the next couple days will turn around completely. top cola coming in nicely as you can see below, View attachment 148622

also there is some pics of the damage thats going on. Leaves are starting to unfurl at the edges so the epsom and others are working. im just not sure about the whitish yellowing if thats the same deficiency? Im gonna let her dry out for a few days and take in what shes got till shes beggin for water.

Now THAT is a cola DS!!! Can't wait to see that fill in. :smokeit:

The general rule for flushing is 10-14 days before harvest time. What type of med effect are you going after from her?
