New Grower Northern Storm - 6 weeks

Looking GREAT!!! Keep the Karma going!!! She is spot on, and will plump up for 4-5 more weeks!!! Let her go til the fan leaves start to turn, then hit her with straight H20 for a week or two at the end and let her cannablize herself!!! You will be truely rewarded!!! I would drop the silica blast soon IMO.

Week 7 + 6 days

Here's more photos from week 7 + 6 days (including seedling week).

This was the tallest growth which I bent over 90 degrees. It's turned into a row of buds. You can see where a couple leaves touched the T5 lights and burned. I think that happened when the plant strethced 2-3 weeks ago:

Yesterday I fed 3ml liquid KoolBloom (along with "useless's" 3-8-16, and 5ml CalMag+, 2ml Liquid Karma, 8ml molasses). Tomorrow I intend to give it it's one-time feeding of the much stronger powdered KoolBloom (and nutes 1.25-3.5-9). I'll post if/when that results in anything significant. I intend to do 1/8 tsp (double-checked by weighing it on my scale, looking for 0.625 g).

I began liquid KoolBloom on 12/26 (week 5 + 5 days). I started at 0.5 ml and worked up to 3ml yesterday over 14 days and 7 waterings. I think I was too cautious and should have started stronger and worked up to 3ml sooner.

According to what I've read about the lifecycle of autoflowers, next week (week 9) will be my last week to feed. I'll do useless's 0-7-20 and 0-6-20. Then, week 10 and 11 there are no nutes as the plant clears out, dies off, etc. During that time I'll gauge harvest time by this write-up saying to watch the leaves.

Kind of exciting to think I could be sampling some smoke in a week or two. :)

Here are photos taken an hour ago. 8 weeks + 2 days.

Here's the longest cola I folded over a couple weeks ago:

Two nights ago I fed her powdered KoolBloom at roughly half the recommend strength (0.8 gram). The PPM was only 800 (along with "useless's" lowered dose of GH Flora nutes when a bloom booster is used.).

Didn't notice any negative effects. Since she seems to be extremely thirsty the past 3-4 days, and her leaves cause me to think I might not go to pure-water next week like I expected, I thought I'd give her a second feeding of powdered KB. Gave her a gram at noon today (PPM 1100). Now I'll do "useless's" last two flower strengths for the next week or two (however long it takes for leaves to yellow).

Looking back, I should have started liquid KB stronger (1.5ml) and got up to 2.5-3ml gal sooner. I spent 2-2.5 weeks starting small (0.5ml) and increasing gradually. I should have also used powdered KB stronger on Saturday. Maybe 1.1 gram.

Very nice, az! Got three of those seeds inbound.

If mine turn out half that good I'll be shickled titless.

Week 8 + 6 days

Here's photos from today, 8 weeks + 6 days. I did two waterings with Powdered Koolbloom (0.8 gram and 1.1 gram). I watered once (two days ago) with useless's 2nd-to-last bloom mix. I'm going to water today with another. On Sunday I'll do the last bloom mix. Maybe 1-2 more.

I've been getting yellow leaves on the bottom. Not sure if this is end-of-life yellowing or due T5 light not reaching the bottom:

I need to ask about this on the "when to harvest" thread. Not sure if I should be 3 days into the last week of feeding due to these yellow leaves, or if there should be more yellowing higher up (which is barely starting now). Also not sure if I should be removing these, or leaving them till they dry up and fall of easily. Right now, if I tug on them, they're firmly attached.

They still have a while to go. Great structure to her, she still has plenty if weight to pack on. Yellowing of lower leaves is completely normal for a plant of this size. Let them dry up and wither, so you can pluck them off without causing stress. I think shes got a minimum of 20 days left before considering a flush. She's still adding new pistils, and even the oldest ones aren't mature.

She should be done growing, I would get those T5s as close as possible without burning. The more intense the light, the fatter the buds.

Looks great though

I think shes got a minimum of 20 days left before considering a flush.

Is it a problem that I'm already at useless's 2nd-to-last feed-schedule mixture? It sounds like I progressed through that too quickly, and did the powdered KoolBloom too soon. Would you hit her again with powdered KoolBloom, and continue with the 2nd-to-last feed mixture a week?

Would you revert back to the previous useless feed (more grow and micro, less bloom)?

Thanks.

Im not familiar with that regiment. I don't really advocate any of those predetermined feed schedules, I think it should be dependant on each individual plant.

Are you saying you changed their feeding to a lighter dose in preparation of the final flush? I would absolutely resume flowering / bloom feed dosages, but since you already changed it, I wouldn't drastically switch back to ensure that you don't shock them with sudden differences in their feeding.

Gradually taper them back to regular ratio of flowering nutrients, starting with a lighter than usual dose and increasing it over the course of this week. If the plants look hungry than accelerate the process..

So basically, don't worry about changing their feeds, just don't do it drastically and at once.

Based upon the "lifecycle" and "when to harvest" topics I adapted the "useless" schedule (which is for photosensitives) to what I anticipated would be the final week this 9th week, ending tomorrow. So, I'm at 0-7-20 (grow-micro-bloom). If there's still 2 weeks left until pure water cleansing, I'd be back 1-2 steps on the schedule. A little more "grow," less "bloom."

Probably not a big deal. I feed every two days. I may give her another Koolbloom liquid next feeding, and powder two feedings later. (Normally the liquid would be used through bloom, and powder given once in the last 2 weeks. I did the powder too soon, it sounds like. Now it's just a matter of whether to bounce back to one dose of liquid and perhaps another powder. Or, just run at 0-7-20 and 0-7-22 for 2 weeks. In "autoflower years" that's more like 4 weeks for a photosensitive. That's why I'm thinking I should do something else, like the bloom booster again.).

Based upon your comment about light, I added 2 100w CFLs to the sides. Might help a little.

Well now that is one hefty sweet lady! I agree with SkatterBrayne, she's got a ways to go from the look of her flowers, beautiful as they are I would expect to see more calyx development if she was closer to harvest. I am not familiar enough with feeding regimens to offer much that way but would continue to use a flower nutrient and a bloom or resin booster if available. The additional lights can only help too!
Damn fine looking grow, clean space, and great photographs!!
Keep it up! oh and this :slap: is well deserved!!!
