I'd like to get your opinion again about how far I am from starting the last 2 weeks of pure-water cleansing.

She's 9 weeks + 3 days old. The yellowing is appearing higher up the plant:

I watered with normal bloom nutes today. Based upon her age and the "lifecycle" & "when to harvest" posts, I think I should switch to pure water the next time I water (in 2 days), and do that for 2 weeks as she loses all her leaves, dies, etc.

I worry I'm going to feed too long and find myself with too little remaining time for a 2-week cleanse.

NOTE: Some of the dying leaves look like cal/mag deficiency. I feed 5ml/gal CalMag+ each watering. At her age, I feel like it would be pointless to increase CalMag+ and mess something up.

A week ago I posted, asking if I was close to "cleanse" and harvest. Advice was that I should wait 3 weeks to start the 2-week cleanse (putting cleanse at Feb 7-21).

Today she's 10 weeks old. Here are some more photos. Does it still look like I have 2 weeks until starting the 2-week cleanse?

Sorry for doubting the previous advice. I intend to wait 2 more weeks. But, I'm just nervous about waiting too long and not getting a 2-week cleanse. So, if these photos lead to a different prognosis, please tell me(!).

Very Nice..she will start moving fast I say 1 week or less top looks doneish! take a sample ! Its up to you when she is done 30% amber if you look through a loop or zoom in on a pic.

When you say 1 week, do you mean till starting the 2-week cleanse? Or, harvest?

That's a good point about the trics. What I've read has been about leaving the buds until all the leaves fall, bud leaves turn brown. I wasn't thinking about looking at the trics.

I don't mind waiting to get optimum maturity, development, etc. My concern is that I'll wait too long and not get a 2-week cleanse in.

I would start your cleanse asap!!! I use a cleansing agent(fox farms sledge hammer) for the first watering and I do not PH the water. There is debate on ph-ing the cleanse water, and I feel you shouldn't need to. then I use plain tap water for 7-10 days then chop!!! Lovely looking Lady!!! Nothing like chop day and being able to sample the fruits of you labor!!! Gonna be 12 hours or so before I can rep ya, but you deserve it for bringing this lady home!!!

I agree with briman sledgehammer is awesome stuff u can clean her out quicker but id start with at least ph water now

Started cleanse - 11 weeks + 5 days

Well, it's been 3 weeks (since I was told to wait 3 weeks to cleanse). I started water-only today. Three weeks ago I couldn't imagine waiting this long. I asked for second opinions a few days ago because I feared I wouldn't have enough time for a 2-week cleanse per the "when to harvest" sticky. But, "faded" and "briman" reminded me I could use a "flush" agent if I found myself without enough time. That gave me a comfort level to continue with the original advice.

Today she still looks green. Trics are mostly clear. Some are cloudy. She's putting on more white pistils. But, I think that's because I fed her powdered (ripening) Koolbloom two days ago (her last feed).

Here's the tallest cola which I LST'd into a horizontal position back when she started to flower. I don't think it filled out as much as the 2nd tallest next to it.

I've learned a lot from this first grow:

1. Wait 7-10 days longer to switch to bloom nutes.

I switched at 5 weeks old.

2. Start liquid (bulking) KoolBloom stronger and increase to 5 ml/gal sooner.

I started at 0.5ml and only dosed 3ml/gal once because I hit her with powdered KoolBloom way too soon. Then I sat waiting for harvest *way* too long. She should have gotten LKB during that time, and PKB at the very end (now that I know what "the very end" looks like).

3. Wait much longer for cleanse.

Now I know what it looks like. I have a lot of photos taken every 2-3 days to remind me if I forget.

QUESTION:

Should I use RO or tap water for cleanse? My tap water PPM is about 700-800. A lot of minerals. Would those minerals be good for her? Or, should I add a little Epsom salt (1/4 tsp/gal) to RO water?

I intend to PH the water because I want the plant to use the remaining nutrients in the soil (especially since I gave her bloom booster 2 days ago). So, it's just a matter of whether the high mineral content would be good or bad during the cleanse. (I'm leaning toward bad.).

Great grow! I would just use ph'd RO for flush, nothing else. You want to have the plant up taking 0 notes from the solid and want it to start using all the stored up food in the leaves. The leaves will begin to die off as the food is being used, it's not going to look pretty, so don't worry about it. A good indication of a successful flush, before harvest, break off a leaf at the stem and taste the liquid, it should not taste bitter, should taste like water.

12 weeks + 5 days

She's 12 weeks + 5 days (89 days) old today. I started "cleanse" a week ago -- water only.

I see new white pistils every day. I think I could have waited a week to cleanse. But, first grow. Learning a lot. I'm just updating this thread so anyone who finds this thread will see what it looks like "a week before harvest."

She's lost a lot of leaves in the past 3-4 days. Remaining leaves are yellowing quickly.

Anyone care to guess the dry weight? A week ago I was thinking 1-1.5 oz. Now I'm thinking 1.5-2oz.
