How does the bud smell before drying...what process do you use for drying and curing. How high are drying temps and also what is the humidity of the drying area?

Smell Good before me cut them seem like as soon as me cut them smell change but still not as hay'e as after dry an jar. me trim then hang upside down humidity around 40-50 and temp around 75-80ish . usually dry in 4-5 days its crunchy on the outside so me put in jar but burp frequent because stem no snap before tey get crunchy . maybe me drying to fast but they dry on tey own me no accelerate it anyhow?

I would try drying in brown paper bags. It will slow down the drying and help keep smell in the buds. Hang bags with a single layer of buds in the bottom and have a fan gently blowing at the bags.

The hay smell is from excess chlorophyll ,or in many cases to much nitrogen in the soil.
A good cure will sometimes fix this but the main thing is to lower the n when flowering I used to constantly get the hay smell when using fish fertilizers close to harvest took me awhile to figure out the right organics for flowering once I did though no hay smell just loud organic cannabis.

Great info dank!! I avoid excess nitrogen so the bud doesnt get too leafy during flower, but i didnt realize it robbed the odour!

No problem friend its a hay smell or grass smell that tips off the excessive nitrogen,if you think about it hay or grass is a nitrogen loving plant ,an that why it smells like hay it's full of nitrogen.

And for some nice tasting cannabis go with more sugers an even citric acid.A simple watering of brown sugar or molasses' the last 2 weeks will have you're buddies saying damn man that's got a sweet taste add a lil Epsom salt to the mix an that really brings out the flavors as well, the trick with the sugers is start out strong but lower every time till harvest at harvest the plant would have had mainly just water at this point.
