Nute burn or def?

I find it strange, you are pH'ing to 5.8-5.9, which seems low to me for soil, then getting 7.5. I was under the impression organic soil didn't need to be pH'ed. Seems upping it is doing more harm than good.

By chance, have you tried watering a cup full of soil pH'ing like you have been, then monitoring pH from there? I wonder how long it takes to jump to 7.5...maybe pH up is not such a great idea eh.
Feeding @ 5.8 for a soil pH of 7.5. Why not feed @ pH 5, to bring it down?
Please don't do what I'm saying, unless it's a confirmed solution.
Good luck man. Hope it gets sorted.

I have not tried that Yeat.. and seems like every plant soil is a little bit different... hmm. I was thinking about that too -- feeding at 5.0-5.2 and see what happens but wanted to get some opinions first.

Thanks brother!

The 7.5 was using a soil probe, and I know it's pretty accurate... I have not measured runoff yet because I watered a couple days ago.. I think I may have to flush her, but I don't want to do that just yet if I don't have too. But she's getting worse by the day.

I use tap water, that sits for atleast 24+ hours before I use it. It measures in at 7.0-7.5 before I put nutes in. That it drops to about 5.0-5.2 and I pH up to 5.8-5.9

Problem: possibly P defc

Medium/grow method:
roots organic + biobizz light + lime

Feed: and supplements used:
Floranova Grow + bloom, Silica Blast, Floralicious, CaMg 0-0-0, Kool Bloom

water source:
Tap Water that sits out for 24+ hours before being used.

Strain/age: Frisian Dew 35 days old

light used: (2) Amare se450 uvb

Climate: 77-81 degrees .. 40-50% humidity

Additional info: I'm growing 7 other plants which seem to be doing just fine, they're not perfect but healthy and lush. I have a feeling this Frisian is locked out. Unless she really needs more CaMg? I could always up it to like 15ml/Gal ?
I'd just keep the ph as you get it I don't think there is a need to add the ph up . So if you do that it should bring your soil to about 6.5

hey funny you said that about the roots organic soil, I was buying it and at check out I had a soil probe in my cart. He was like put that back u won't need it with this soil, not necessary and just a waste of money,

:eek1: ah! How much extra lime did you put in, and what kind exactly? Ag' or garden lime, or a manufactured product will behave differently than dolomite lime, which is the slowest acting form,... This could explain the elevated alkalinity, and the fact that acidic feeds are making little impression on the soil pH! And if this is the case, the buffering action will resist lowering it quite a bit,...... flushing with RO/Di water might help,....given the Ca-Mg inputs, upping this even more is not wise since too much will cause other issues as well,... get me fresh pics mate, maybe I can pin the symptom down better... a flush might be called for too regardless,... I have a trick to speed drainage too: get a stack of newspaper and some paper towels; put the PT's in direct contact with pot bottom (I hope you aren't in airpots) so the contact well.. this will start some wicking action, then place on the newspaper stack for further drainage,.. the capillary action will pull the excess out much faster over the next several hours,...

Some leaf burn from nutes and laying on top of soil I know that much but even the new leaves are coming in with bad tips on them . Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
