Hi all,

I currently have some 3-5 day old autos and they are a little bit on the yellow side. I know it's too early for them to be needing nutes, so I wonder if it's the fact that they are under a 150W HPS and it's not a very good bulb, lacking blue spectrum I believe?

Does anyone know if this can cause yellowing in seedlings and also, what else can?

The soil is plagron pro mix and I started them in canna seed mix in jiffy pots. I've kept my watering pH between 6 and 7 and I'm using full strength rhizotonic. Tested run off pH and it's in the same ball park.

It's not a big deal and they seem to be growing fine, but I am curious as they could look better imo.

Any help would be great!

:peace:

Just give them a few days for the roots to develope and pick up nutes and they should start turning greener.

Thanks for the advise namvet. Much obliged. So... i should start feeding em around the 8-10 day mark? is there a rule of thumb for this?

Usually theres enough organic nutes in the soil to go two to three weeks, remember with autos go lightly on the nutes, less is more.:D

It is pretty good soil I think so I'll leave em to it and if they don't shape up in a few days I'll feed them a little. I'll be sure to be cautious with feeding as I learned that the hard way last time round. Thanks for the help man, +rep coming your way.
