New Grower Ok to cut plant at differrant times?

The thing is, taking different parts of the plants while you're still feeding nutrients and not straight water - you're going to be smoking the salts when you take that part of the plant. That looks like lack of Magnesium, IMO.. Sea Grow doesn't have a lot of magnesium in it.. Either way 10-11 weeks on an Auto Kush would be about right if the genetics were true. I stagger chop all of my plants.

I havent given it nutes in about a week, i watered it about 4 days ago and have since had 2 decent rains at night. I gave it a cal/mag supp about a month ago, Is it too late to give now?

You're already on schedule to take the whole plant down. To reintroduce salts now wouldn't make much sense to be honest. It's one of those live and learn things I'd say. You'll still get a very good smoke off of her, will knock you out for sure - it'll just bother ya a bit to know in the back of your mind "it could've been stronger".. I've done the same with some plants when I had nutrient issues with them towards the end of the grow (magnesium is huge in mid to late bloom) and I'd just switch to water and cut them early. Smoking dead leaves is very very harsh. Smoking burnt or nutrient deficient leaves is harsh as well - because you're smoking plant matter that died and dried on the plant.. :2cents:

I'd just keep going straight water and start tiered chopping her in the next week. You won't be disappointed. For future grows and harvests I'd recommend a jeweler's loupe or a microscope... :D

Thanks for the time and advice. Im still pretty new at this, only my second grow. Its worlds ahead of my first. I do have a loupe and as of friday day the trics are all clear. ( which i dont mind because i would like to have more of a up strain in the stash ) The flower thats turning is actually pretty huge, about six inches long. I think it will be more them my whole harvest last year.

So see there's positives to take away! Clear isn't necessarily the up aspect as much as it's an unfinished trichome. You can get up highs from cloudy trichomes as well, because that may be the strain - you will get a high that's shortened in duration by pulling clear trichomes though. Keep that in mind. When you start your new grow I'd do the whole thing up here and ask questions before you make decisions you're unsure of - will guarantee a sound harvest!

There's a lot of debates about harvesting and trichome color - but I will tell you this for sure, a clear trichome is an underdeveloped trichome that still has potential to be unleashed!

Too late ( for new grow that is ) I will try and get pics of the new grows in the next couple of days, only two weeks old at this point

I think I may have just found out why the bud site was starting to look shabby. Bud Rot! I just happen to go out and have a look and noticed some odd color( brownish )that was at the bottom of the flower. I inspected it further and it was pretty much all the way through the bud. so i cut it out. I shed a little tear because just that bud was 40 grams. The rest of the plant looked ok ( i hope )
