Hey guys, I'm about to build a new Cob rig. I have
4x Luminus CXM22 Cob Lights 3500k 90CRI w/ 133mm heatsink, pushing at 75 watts each
Driver: Meanwell-320H-48A

Tent is: 20" deep, 36" wide, 60" tall

Design [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]) straight run of 4 - 30" wide

[--*--*--*--*--]

Design [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]) 2 rows, alternating offset

[--*------*----]
|------*-----*-|

Design [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG]) 2 rows of 2

[---*------*---]
[---*------*---]

Which do you think would have the best coverage for my tent?

I’d run 2 cobs if your doing autos in that space. 3-4 if you are doing photos. Don’t forget the Daily light integral

So, I'm doing autos this grow... but, may try photos in the future --- and, will likely get a larger tent. I already have the driver, cobs and the aluminum angle for the frame. Would you just recommend dimming them way down for my first grow? Currently have 2 babies starting under a 125w CFL in 6500k that I already had - wanting to get them a week or 2 old before going to the LED.

Even though they both growing weed they are very different. I’d make a light for the autos that suits the autos. When you want to try photos make another exactly the same way. If you switch back you can remove one. That way your not settling on something that doesn’t fit either of them ideally. Autos require half the wattage photos do.

I'm partial to [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] if it was my tent.

@BigSm0 ---- going to follow your suggestion and just go with 2 of the COBs. Would a MeanWell HLG-185H-48A be enough to run 2 correctly? Thanks so much!!
