Nutrients Optic Foliar

Sorry I'm extremely busy but super interested in OF. Am I correct that the one larger spray bottle is all parts mixed? Also would it be recommended to use all parts all the time or just when needed? How often should it be used? I watched some youtube while I was driving and the red light just turned green.

That's my understanding is that Overgrow is their other four products in a ready to spray version. They said in the interview that you can get the concentrate versions of the individual components and make your own. Don't know why you couldn't adjust the mix ratio depending on what parts you needed more/less at a given time, but suppose there could be reasons to not to so I'd wait to hear from the experts on that. :)

From their product page on Overgrow:
  • Learn to make your own OVERGROW solution and get more value and savings. Simply mix TRANSPORT, WATTS, REV & ATAK and include any natural pesticide such as Pyrethrum, Azamax or Neem.

@opticfoliar

Guys, have you noticed or had varying reports depending on lighting choice?

my side by side test showing some benefits in soil under MH, another auto under T5 changes colour completely for hours on end, really takes it in!

Hey optic I have noticed a recent problem with a few strains I'm running. My lights are jacked way up much higher then required and I see some pretty severe magnesium issues on the leaves directly under the lights. On the outsides of the plant not in direct light are perfectly healthy and fine. I have ran these lights many times and no issues but just assume the strain and rapid growth are causing the problems. Will the overgrow help this? I see yellowing and darker veins.

Related questions: If I have Transport (and Watts, but not Overdrive), can I add cal-mag and/or epsom salt for foliar feeding? Use the same concentration as for hydroponics? Any general guidance for strengths of non-Optic Foliar nutrients when mixed with Transport?

:toke: @BigSm0 -- The key to them all is Transport-- that's the magic penetrant/carrier that brings all the other goodies into the leaf proper,... Watts and Rev technically should be paired, as the first is the photosynthetic enhancer, and the second is the right now nute boost to help make the most of that "turbo boosting", until the plants internal resources can get caught up... Sure, technically one could just use Rev (and Transport) as a very light feed.. but why? :biggrin: Otherwise, ATAK isn't necessary unless you have an issue with vermins/fungals,... And you saw my thread on Transport use with a micronute,... it's very diverse in applications, pest control included according to Dinesh... Transport can help penetrate the bug's outer protective layers as well! .... sounds like you're pummeling them with photons mate! Mg is the core atom in the chlorophyll molecule, so either you're exceeding supply, or damaging the molecule because of the fierce light, even if there';s no actual burning,.. beyond a certain point, more is not better, other limiting factors can come in play, or it's just too much energy to keep things stable and functioning,... to date, I have no specific info about the connection between LED/COB and increased Ca-Mg needs, but there's definitely something going on there,... Strain and even pheno' variation are factors in light tolerance as well,...:eyebrows: Bust out the diffusers 'Sm0!

>> Fett'6, I'm curious too about that! I'm sure it's been tested on most if not all forms of lighting,...

>> BII-- some of your questions are answered above I believe,... Overgrow is an all-in-one ready to use product that combines them all... Dinesh recommends reducing any other product by 1/2 when treating with Transport.. sure, Ca-Mg or epsoms will be fine to use with it; epsoms for foliar are about1 tsp/gal usually, so I'd reduce that by about 1/2... grow method doesn't matter for application rates,...:thumbsup:

You rock Waira. I'm going to stick to the all in one for now and hope it helps. Since winter is near I shut down my Ac and run the exhaust. This kills the co2 so I also shut gthat down. Combination of that and a new breeder has really been tough on deficiencies. I did up the calmag and things straightened themselves out a little. Lots learned! I love what I'm seeing from OF. The explanation was exactly what I needed.

@opticfoliar I seem to have some lumps in my WATTS concentrate

any idea what this is?
