Organic backyard grow questions

Far out, thanks EoF!

If this thing works out I'll post some pics of the final product.

Thanks for all your help...max respect!

Just a quick update. I've brewed 3 teas thus far with the below as a guide:

-Half cup EWC
-Tsp fish emulsion
-Tsp kelp liquid
-Tsp Peruvian Seabird Guano
-Tbsp molasses
-1Gal RO/tap water mix

Brewing for 24-48 hours and I'm not watering much as it has rained every 3-4 days.

I also added some lime to the top of my soil to correct any PH issues.

But, my Dedoverde Haze is looking super stunted (5 weeks old). While the Blue Dream is looking okay (3weeks).

Any idea as to why that is?

Thanks

outdoors eh? id bet that, thats your problem.most arent geared for OD growing as a rule. they'll stay small, stunted lanky..all the stuff you dont want it to do. LOL! been there done that man LOL! sux.your best bet is to put them OD when they are solidly into flowering.they'll slow down assuming your OD is usual standard summer...hot and all that awesome stuff, but at times they'll stay thinner as well but atleast they'll finish up OD and do pretty good but they'll finish larger.atleast Veg em anyways. either that or maybe feeding the tea too quickly early on and burned em..if ya didnt do that then Im gonna say the Heat man...the heat.cool loamy well fed soil with cool sips throughout the day or a similar thing such as Ice. also the ice will feed a lil extra O2 that cool water even and a niiiiiice shade cloth at the hottest part of the day is you trick.then dialing in and working the numbers to find where your sweet spot is man. thats my 2 cent dude

Thanks EoF!

Yeah, that's probably it. The other one is a HSO Blue Dream in a 5 gallon tan smart pot, so hopefully the heat won't be as much of an issue. It seams to be doing okay.

Thanks for your help!

usually an airy breathable medium is the best in those types of climates ,but thats just general.strain and sun times all plays a role.ya man I finally got to grow one myself Fiiiinallly man LOL my first seed order got ganked which was the BD auto from HSO lol!oh well.but Im finally almost ready to chop her and compare to their Photo version and two other cuts of realy BD that was crossed with that one Critical+ clean breeding thingy.and they were ALL excellent too. i hope your able to get a harvest as well man. try that shade cloth too.that'll help some. and their BD photo is very sturdy and their genetics are quite solid but an auto is an auto for the most part. she looks excellent otherwise man.I hated it when that used to happen to me. LMFAO! all of three fat doobies at best of dried buds lol. and possibly not enough sun too..?dunno your schedule but between those two Ive had many of auto early on go the way of the dwarf funky bunch soo lol

Thanks EoF!

They get about 6-7 hours of mostly afternoon sun. And highs are around 85-88 right now. I do have a shade sail on my deck, but they wouldn't get as much sun. But, that might be the way to go.

Thanks!

yeah afternoon sun is the hottest so i think if you use a sun tarp just to lessen the rays and shade it some while still getting sun in the morning and late evening prior to dusk and sipping that cool water id think you'll be n a lot better shape than that poor wee gal. hell if ya got space she'll grow a few nice buds for ya hands down..juuust a bit small is all.I saw(not stunted either) who had this frigin perfect little bic lighter sized cola LOL and a cpl of Bowl sized lowers too LOL!

Thanks for the tips EoF! I'll try to move the BD around to avoid the strong sun while keeping it stealthy. We'll see...

I saw the one you grew...wow! Well done!

Thanks for all the help!

So my HSO Blue Dream is 4 weeks old today and I think she's looking pretty good. And input or advice would be greatly appreciated! And I just ordered some Earth Juice Seablast 3-26-22 for blooming. Does anyone have any experience with that stuff? Is it actually organic?

Thanks

And the other pic is the haze I have going...she just went straight to flower from the get go. Bummer

Hi all,

First off, thank you so much EoF for all your help and mentoring! So much appreciated!!

Here's a shot of the HSO Blue Dream at day 53. What do you all think of its structure thus far? Any sort of deficiencies?

I just harvested the HSO Haze auto, and only a few grams in total. Kind of a bummer but a great learning experience. The root structure was super small and I think it was stunted from the heat and probably overwatering. I probably gave it too many teas with a high phosphorus content as well...oh well. Great smoke however, and I have a couple other beans to work with.

I just constructed my first TLO recipe as best I could with the materials I could get. I did the below recipe. What do you guys think? I'm going to let this brew for a while and maybe do a greenhouse in the Winter. We'll see.

- 3 gallons of the Dr. Earth (black bag)
- 1.5 gallons perlite
-2.5 gallons coco coir (rinsed)

-Small bag of Black Kow compost ( 0.5 - 0.5 - 0.5)
-2 gallons EWC
-Coffee grounds added regularly
-4 banana peels
-12 crushed egg shells (6 toasted)

-2 cups crab shell
-Humic acid is in Dr. Earth soil along with aloe
-1/2 cup Peruvian Seabird Guano
-2 cups dolomite lime with cal/mag (More added later)
-1 cup azomite (more added later)
-1 cup alfalfa meal (more added later)
-1.5 cups feather meal
-1 cup bone meal
-A couple pinches of Great White
-2 tbsp Epsom salts

I brewed a tea to pour on the blue dream and the soil to activate it.

Peace

Once again, thank you so much EoF for all your help and amazing info! Max respect.
