Hi Folks

I just read something alarming! That by adding ph up/down to your organic nutrients prior to watering in soil ( Roots Organic) you are killing microbes and other things in the soil.

Is that true or false?

Well yes and No really. there is truth yet its not as bad as people make it out to be.But IME it does slightly swing the taste. not its nominal to be honest.but that also depends if your doing it a couple times,or EACH time will make a difference.Essentially some will die kinda like the weak being weeded out if you will.But it can hinder it in the sense that it will piss them off and make them weaker for a time. hence the whole IF your doing it each time or every now and again. a Good organic mix should be able to handle some PH adjustment by itself.

Yes its true, but i know theres lots of organic ph adjustments. Lime, cirtus juice etc. You can also look into nectar for the gods as they make a natural microbe friendly up and down. I also use roots organic. Good choice.

I have spent a fair bit of time looking into this very subject , I use a citric acid based PH down [ Flairform ] From what I can gather it will not hurt the microbe population and can even help , Now this is only my understanding of it , or use humic acid or fulvic as a carbon fed to keep the microbes in balance , I would recommend you look into it as it is a big subject and form your own opinion .

Earlier this year I began AN iguana grow, Bloom and Cal magic with distilled water and had to use quite a bit of the blue ph liquid to get my nutes to 6.5ph
