Indoor Our first tent setup! Please rate and review!

My girlfriend and I recently purchased the small complete hydro grow tent from HTG Supply.It arrived in many boxes...once we had all the pieces we finally got it all put together, took some pics and now we would like some input from fellow growers.


It has this awesome window...so you can view your plants without disturbing them.




View from the outside and our ventilation up top with a 170cfm fan with a charcoal filter and 2 small clip-on canopy fans for circulation.

We think have done a good job on setting it up so far. All we need is seeds, and they are on the way. Mostly autos...we'll be receiving the following any day now.

Any comments/suggestions as to which we should plant first are welcome!


This is our light, 400w HPS 55,000 Lumens



Should we add some T5 side lighting or is 400watts enough?

Our tent measures 22" deep x 36" wide x 63" tall, any recommendations as to the number of plants we should start out with? Also, should we SOG or LST? Or both? We have two 4 slot DWC systems as you can see in picture above...anyone know of a good cheap co2 system without tanks for this size space, that would also have to go inside the tent?


Here's a picture of our nutrients and pH kit.

Any recommendations on any extra nutrients? Or does anyone out there know of a nutrient kit specifically for hydro? Our ppm meter is also on the way.

should be able to get one good plant in there........wish I had a tent like that but this is all I could afford ... one plant with some lst training will be apx 3ft across or you could just go for smaller plants and do four? (small plants not as much yield!)

Interesting...I was wondering if I could LST, then throw a net on top to control canopy level and still be able to run about 6-8 plants with training them?

4 plants in 1 bucket is going to make small plants. You'd be better off putting them in 5 gal buckets alone. The ones they sent you are for clones.

If you are running all those strains at once I would get some extra lighting in there. I ran a 600w in that tent and it wasn't enough for 5 plants.

You'll be happy with what you bought. They sell some great products, but the nutes I'm not sure about. I use dyna-gro and they are made for hydro with great results.

Oh and htg carbon filters are crap, mine worked for a week and never worked again. I've read others with the same story.

what about 2 plants per bucket with LST training, and a root promoter(whats a good one) would that help increase yield and still allow more than 1 plant a bucket..also buckets are 3.5 gallons.

depends what your looking for...... one plant if you grow it right could be 3 ft across... already out grew the room!..two at the most (grown right) would be tight and you'll always have to adjust the buds so they get light .....give it a try and see what happens but make sure you have someplace else to expand to just in case ...I would only start two plants (5 gal. buckets) you'll run out of room! I hope you looked at my pics ...two of my plants are almost 3' across and the other apx 2' just to let you know what can happen...plants were grown using daylight cfls and now soft white cfls for flowering with one 400hps...keep us posted!

I'm not saying you can't do it, only suggesting what would increase your outcome. If you have multiple plants fighting for root space they will be somewhat against each other instead of for themselves.

Roots exelurator is a good one by H&G.

Lst is always a good idea if you can do it. It will normally increase yeild.

no.... 1 plant... 1 bucket (5.gal.) for max yield if you lst one plant again it will be 2-3 ft across you cound not do that with two plants in one bucket

I just measured my homemade 'hillbilly high tent' it measures 6ft x 3 ft .....good for 3 of my plants

Thank you i will update when my seeds arrive.
I think I'm gonna do four plants 2 in each bucket have one on each side to give the roots room and sog them to keep em squat..we will see what happens.
im not tryin to get max yield just looking for decent yield. I'm thinking the sog net would fix the space problem and help with yield.
any idea's on which autos to try out I'm thinking i wanna do 2 purple kush and 2 kandy kush or 2 moby dick.
