Hello everyone! New member here. I have a few outdoor grows on my resume but I'm still mighty green (pun intended) when it comes to growing sweetleaf so I'm looking for any helpful information you might send my way. This will be my first legal grow underneath the Oklahoma sun and my first attempt using coco coir, so I'm definitely looking forward to the warm weather ahead and with a little luck, a bumper crop of pain numbing medication. With that said, here is what I have planned. Northern Light, White Widow and Jack Herer feminized autos from CKS. VIVOSUN 5 gallon fabric pots filled with canna coco/perlite mix. Canna coco A & B nutrients along with CalMag plus. I do plan a little LST with these ladies and I want to try my hand at making feminized seeds with colloidal silver but that's about it. How soon should I start feeding nutes to an auto and how often? Everyday seems excessive but I understand I will have to water more often with the fabric pots, especially with them being outside. Looking forward to the feedback guys! Check back in later this afternoon. Smoke em if you got em

Hey buddy, good to meet you! I'm also an outdoor enthusiast. I have never done an outdoor coco grow but am also interested in it. Have you done a little research on coco growing yet? From my understanding it's more like hydro than soil and will need to be treated a little differently than soil. There is someone else on here which has done an outdoor coco grow but for the life of me, my stoned ass can't remember who? @Weed Warrior can you remember seeing something here about an outdoor coco grow? It may have been @SOOTDAWG @forbiddenx711 or @SUNDOG maybe, sorry if it wasn't one of you guys....my memory sucks sometimes

LOL@the green bandit! Heard that friend! I have read and watched some youtube videos on the very method I listed but I don't think they were autos in the vid and it sounds almost too easy to be true. I just want the easiest and best results possible if you smell what I'm stepping in hoss.

Yay! I have grown out doors a few times with coco coir. Two biggest issues I ever had were roots getting really hot (countered by digging a hole to fit each pot roughly 8 inches below the surface and covered tops with coco) and water loss like mad. After I put them in the ground I didn’t have any issues. I found it was best to feed every three days or so and ran a soaker hose over the plants to keep them happy on days I didn’t feed.

@Hophead76 What's up guys, so I use coco to start sometimes then transplant into the beds. I do mix my used coco in to my garden beds to help with the soil... IMO have to feed more and check the Ph more frequently with coco vs soil. When is the start of your season? Thanks for the tag @thegreenbandit

@SUNDOG I plan to germinate around the last wknd of March. I have decided to go ahead with my original plan and try the first round of autos outside in coco before it gets too hot, at least half of them anyway. The weather can be pretty rough in my area during the spring but I will be able to shelter them when storms decide to fire up.
