I think this is underfed, but I just want someone who is more experienced with auto's to have a look. See pics below. Many thanks in advance to all who offer advice.

You can see that the leaves near the top are bleached and twisted. In some cases they are almost white.

Cheers,

It looks like you are lacking in both magnesium and phosphorus. 5-5-6 isn't the best ratio for plants in full flower. Something with less N and aa bit more P and K would be desirable. I would also suggest adding some epsom salts to your feeds to help supplement magnesium. One tablespoon per gallon of feed. BioBizz Light Mix is basically a semi soil less mix very similar to the Pro Mix that I use. It contains no nutrients so it's up to you to supply everything that the plant needs. If you want to continue using the 5-5-6 nutrients that you have I would suggest supplementing it with something like PK13.14 to add more P and K.

If the soil probe you are using is one of those inexpensive $20 one, I wouldn't trust it. They have proven to be very unreliable. The only one I would recommend is the Control Wizard Accurate 8. I would also suggest getting a liquid pH meter. Without knowing the pH of your feeds it will always be difficult to maintain a good soil pH.

Regarding the bleaching of the upper leaves, 12" is too close for a 400 watt HPS light. Best to place your hand, palm down, at the top of your canopy and hold it there for 30 seconds. If it feels too hot on the back of your hand, it's too hot for the plants. I would expect your light should be somewhere around 16 - 18" above the plants.

Cheers Muddy.

I do have some epsom salts at hand, as well as some Plant Magic Old Timer Bloom feed which is organic and only 3% N, P & K are also lower though. I will raise the light up take action with the epsom salts. Will blackstrap mollasses help with the mag deficiency? I also have that at hand. It's feeding time tonight.

My last ER didn't go this way but I was using molasses in the waterings, I've perhaps forgotten due to the strength of my last crop ;o). The Maxicrop is based on a seaweed extract and I was using it because I had read somewhere that Auto's can benifit from the high N percentage up until the flush.

I used to grow a long time ago when all I used was tomato feed. All these new fangled soils and feeds have thrown me a bit. The soil probe was a 20 pound job (I'm in Scotland, part of the UK, for now), so I'll look at getting something more accurate.

Many thanks for taking the time to have a look and offering the advice.

The molasses won't hurt and will add a bit of calcium, which most autos need after they are around 5 weeks old. Canna PK 13-14 is available in the UK. I always recommend to new growers that they get some of it, as well as a cal/mag supplement and have them on hand as they are the two most common deficiencies seen in autos, especially when grown in semi soil less mixes like Light Mix, Pro Mix or Sunshine #4.

Great stuff muddy. I can jump in the car and go and get the Canna right now. I've looked at it before, but it's 25 pounds and being a Scot........ Well we a a rep for being "careful with our money". In fact I'm so tight I squeak when I walk.

Did you know copper wire was invented by two Scotsmen fighting over a penny?

Thanks again.

Hey there Muddy. I have the pk 13 14. In my possesion. Any advice on usage? I have around three weeks till harvest time.

Just follow the label instructions. Use it with every feeding until you start your final cleanse before the harvest.

Ok, Cheers dude. Lol, Read the label. I wish I could, needing new glasses and I don't get them till next weekend. Which is good, cos I think I'm getting at least one book from Santa.

Many thanks again.
