Overfed? Too Dry? Confused

Great idea mate, i'll try that tommorrow, just check some before and some pots are drying out much quicker, think its my few that are bigger then the rest are drinking a lot more. Just glad my 2 small ones are showing signs of growing at last.

Just need some answers on my ph run off now and how to fix it.

Did you soak the rockwool in PH corrected water for 24 hours before using it?
If not then that would explain why your PH run-off is so high. Rockwool has a high PH so if it was not pre-soaked to correct the PH that might explain the high run-off.
It might also explain the issues your having as any nutes added at 5.8 would be altered when going through the rockwool.

ohhh errr your PH is really up the shit, as you are growing soil-less you can flood on a biblical scale and not do much harm.
So mix up a shitload and start flooding, 5.8-6.3 will be good enough no need to be so exact :)
Then keep flooding until the runoff PH is below 7, then drain as best you can and leave for a few days.

Dont forget some new pictures...

The actual seeds when they were put in the small main cube were, then they were placed into the next size up cube which was done correctly. However the small 1cm cubes that are all in the airpots were not soaked prior. Think I will be best off giving them all a flush with ph6.0 water over the next week. Is it ok to flush direct from tap into bucket the ph that or do i still have to leave the water to stand for 24 hours to get the cholrine out? I know in soil that you should as it can kill something in the soil bbut im not using soil.

I think its down to preference.
Ive grown hydro with clay pebbles for years and have never let the water sit for 24 hours.
Never had any issues.
It could also however be something that im yet to learn.

Cheers for all the help so far from everyone. I shall water them on a "biblical scale" tomorrow haha.

Must say I think this has been the most helpful forum i have come across so far, tried other places but people just seem to totally ignore you.

Hoping these think different turn out good, got high hopes after reading on them.

When will be best time to turn lights upto 600w?

Jesus tried flushing 2 of them first and put 80 litres of ph 6 water in each and there still running off at ph 7!

¹) entirely disagree with letting rockwool dry out. You're growing in hydro...he more oxygenated water you flush through the better. I grow in coco and water over a liter daily in 2ga pots no problem.

2) keep watering at 5.8 until you see runoff come down. Your plants look mg deficient, not N deficient, which 99% of the time is a pH problem.

3) I favor 5.9 once my media pH is dialed in...less CaMg issues

I'll keep trying to get the 2 i started flushing down to 5.8 when i get home, cant believe how much water i'm having to flush them with.....gonna be a long job.

@low_and_slow do you feed everyday or feed feed water?

Here's a sample pic of the new lower leaves coming in yellow, all them have displayed the same thing.

In coco, I feed every day until I see about 10% runoff. Any truly soil-less hydroponic setup should be watered through at least daily to ensure the old de-oxygenated water is flushed out with new, oxygen rich nutrients...if you picture DWC, letting the rockwool "dry out" is like letting your bucket get empty.
