Howdy folks!

I was curious what everyone thinks and recommends for my scenario.
I am finishing drying and putting things into jars today. I will be out of town for a week and will not be able to burp until I return.

i have some boveda packs, i thought maybe instead of putting the metal lid i put a papertowel or plastic over the top of the jar to allow some breathing because I know this will not be perfect 62% dry yet.

what are you guys thoughts?
Thanks!
Carl

I've been here before, and left the top of the jar open a notch to allow breathing room - was fine after nearly a week.

Once I got back I did take it completely out of the jars and repack it again - treating as if it were day 1 again.

@niceneasy thank you for your input. you did it straight up or with any bovedas? I will probably just do that. things have been drying much slower now that temps are coming down and the heaters' are not yet running (dry air).

I would throw boveda packs in each jar and hope for the best. I would probably go with the 58's and then go to 62's in a few weeks.

I just did it straight up, but it was a last-minute thing & I didn't have any options.
