Yes, I'm one too........

Hello All

The Oldman always enjoys color in the gardens, and have found this plant to be fun to grow. Not always easy, they seem to almost prefer neglect rather than my overhandedness. As an overwaterer, I can kill them without really trying.

I used to sell the plants when I was in the plant nursery business, the old ladies love them. And if they like where they are located, they will self-seed and then next year you'll have more than enough.

I'm probably repeating some stuff, as I've only read about half of all these posts, but I wanted to put some pics up now.

Nice man, those are some nice looking flowers! I wish I had a garden like that too, all I have to work with is 3 raised beds near the lawn.... Im envious!

Thanks Surffreak

And I've got a sandy loam that really drains well. Still in a dry year like this past year I used a soaker hose when they really got dry.

The group up against the side of the house were in a large pot, 4 or 5 gal I'd guess, and did well. In smaller pots they don't do, at least not for me.. Also a tight rootball developes if left in a small pot too long. In the right location it will pay to get some small plants in the ground in the fall, to grow intermittently during the warm snaps in Oct and Nov. They're tough and they will take off in the spring with those huge lettuce like leaves. The seedlings also don't like crowding at all, so it pays to thin them well. They are just like carrots in this respect.

I love growing Opium Poppies!

Wow I can't wait to add my photos, I have so many strains. I just found this forum I used to be on OVERGROW back in the day my name on OG was MANBEARPIG Or BridgeWhore can't remember, but that place got shut down or some shit what a damn shame. I used to only by my ganj seeds from Marc Emery in Vancouver, BC and these days for the last several years I've been getting all my Papaver Somniferum Opium Poppy Seeds from the same source for about 6 years :hot:opmpoppyseeds.com/:kiss: or the same source as sells on
ebay
:hot: Bestseedbank :kiss:and sometimes there even cheaper on there, I've gotten Afghanistan:thumbs: Album N Galani types, plus Burmese :thumbs:Golden Triangle, Persian Whites, Queens Poppy:thumbs:.
I really wanna post my pictures!!!
How do I post photos I can't wait to share, I miss having a forum like overgrow.

.

I read the rules I don't think I violated, but if I did please don't flame me it's my first post on here, but it certainly wont be the last I hope!

If anyone has any questions on growing P.Somniferum feel free to ask me, I'm
Kinda tired now so if I don't reply back I'm probably asleep.

Please let me know how to post photos, I wanna show off my Poppies and see more pictures of y'alls's:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Hey man, glad you found the poppy thread! :howdy: We've got some seasoned growers here, including myself... The way to post pics is to hit the "go advanced" tab at the bottom right and then scroll down to manage attachments. From there it should be obvious what to do, but feel free to PM me if you have issues....

Welcome to the site!
