Hi good people im just starting a kinda log here of what i'm currently doing with my LED's and seeds. I got a nice new 300watt (60 x 5W, white case) MarsHydro LED from their UK Ebay store. I measured it with my meter whilst running and it consumes 130watts of electricity from the wall socket. I already had the previous version of this light which had 100 x 3W LED's and consumed around 180watts of power from the wall socket but i wanted to give this to a friend as a gift and bought myself the newer 5watt model as a replacement. I hope that was a wise choice!?!

To me it looks like the new version of the light has more blue/white spectrum. The older 3watt panel was more redish and it really messed up my eyes but the new one doesn't mess them up anywhere near as bad. The new one looks a nice cool blue/white with a decent amount of red in there too giving it a purple/pinkish tinge. The previous light it was hard to make out any blue at all, at least with my eyes. The new light also runs cooler than the old one and has 1 large fan for cooling + heatsinks aswell. The older model used 3 smaller fans for cooling and maybe a smaller heatsink as it felt much hotter even though it is a 3watt model and the new one is 5watt.

I currently have 2 unkown auto's in my closet and 1 under my desk lol. The only thing i know for sure is that they are from Paradise Seeds Auto collection. I have also just started 4 new seedlings,2 of them are Pandora and the other 2 are Auto Wappa and Auto Whiteberry. The 2 Pandora's and the Auto Wappa have already sprouted but the whiteberry seems to be taking longer. I had a peek and can see the white root sticking out of the seed so im just waiting to see what happens. I have a pic of them from a few days ago. I will be back later to update with more pics and info i might have forgot.

I'm using a mix of mainly coco fibre with a little bit of soil mixed in as i reckon it maybe adds a bit more bacteria into the growing medium and gives the seedling a little bit of what it needs to get started for the first week or so. Im starting off using Hy-Pro Terra Grow & Bloom @ 0.25ml per litre then eventualy working up to 1.25ml per litre or more if i see the leafs turn pale......

Once the vegetating and pre-flower stretch have halted i will be switching over to BioBizz Bloom nutes for budding @ 2ml per litre. If i see signs of deficiency then i will increase the dose.

I always add 1ml of magne cal+ to every litre of water ontop of my base nutes and im using 3 litre pots for the new seedlings but the other 2 older auto's are in 6 litre pots.

I'll update with newer pics later today if i have time!

Peace!

Some LED's have a tendency to wreak havoc on fan leaves. I had this problem last time. But I learned something from you. The buds keep on rocking!

Hey,i seem to have got better at this.....i am using a mix of coco fibre and pearlite and i just give em water now for the first week then 1/3 strangth nutes according to biobizz grow schedule for their lightmix soil. then slowly working it up to 50% strength and all the way up to full amount. No nute burn ,leafs much greener and healthier. I water/feed more frequently now too. I got a 60cm x 60cm x 120cm(i think) tent now too so i can have more fun! Sorry pics got messed up some sideways/upside down lol.

Sorry i dont use gallons i use litres and im really bad at judging stuff like that. I think its best to use the biggest pots u can fit and try and have a little space at least around them if u can but i've been getting away with no space between them 6 of em crammed into the same tiny space and works fine. I am yeilding the same amount form the 6 pots as i used to get from the one large pot. Im averaging 1 ounce per plant and can fit 6 of those under a 300 watt mars hydro with the 5 watt LED's that pulls 120 watts real power from the wall socket. Im well pleased with those results!
