Partial Harvest ?

Hello Grow Folks, Wonder how you more experienced growers feel about harvesting the top portion earlier from the bottom/lower half
Seems the 2 Mephisto Skywalker's I have going are more ready for harvest at the top more so then the bottom
ive never did a partial harvest, Tempted to cut these tops off and let the bottom most keep going a bit longer (couple/few weeks)
being as the tops took off like they did and seem to be finishing before many bottom parts.
Day 65
I usually chop entire plant and hang
Im a keep'em going a little more for now
BUT
What's the consensus around here say ?

:also, ive grown these before and they weren't very great big ,like these, but the nugs get pretty solid/hard and good smoke

some from the lower part, Plenty down there that's hasn't fully developed

What you're describing is called progressive harvesting and its perfectly fine to do. This happens sometimes when theres not enough light getting down to the bottom but its perfectly ok to chop and dry whatever is mature enough and let the rest finish. You'll see within a couple days those lower buds will get a bit bigger and dense up a bit before the trichomes finish maturing.

I myself have done this for every grow except my last 2. It has never really hurt the plants, just make sure you clean your scissors. Im kinda ocd when it comes to chopping up a plant I wanna keep alive during flower.
