I am have one laying around and would love to throw some CREE cobs on it. Do you have a list of parts from your shop to make this happen?

I only have a few 3590's but they are 72v, citizen cobs I have plenty of. The 1812 are listed in cobshop.net you could do one 1812 per driver.

Two of those? Do those 300w (avg power draw 136w) have two drivers in them?
Current I=1970A
This wouldnt work inside the mars housing but you could take the mars drivers on them and ditch the panel. This would get around 30 watts each. Or you could buy these

And stick them in the mars panel. The cooling would probably be similar between each option. The "almost complete" is rated for 57 watts and you would be powering the cobs at 30. The mars panel has a small heatsink but fans to keep the heatsink cool.

So two of these one hooked up to each driver?, https://cobshop.net/shop?olsPage=pr...jb-holder-this-item-ships-free&olsFocus=false

Thank you! You are awesome sir!

@BigSm0 I have a Mars II 400w kicking around. Is it one citizen per driver or two per driver? This might be a good option to get me on the autocob train.

For sure a good start. I actually have my converted mars hydro going right now lol.

If anyone has a m300 Light they want converted I'd be happy to do it for free. Just one light, first pm wins. Just need to ship it to me and I'll do it and ship it back. No cost besides intial shipping.

When I do the conversion I will explain in detail how and why. For your 400w it's most likely using the same drivers as the 300 & 600 which is 80-85v. That's the voltage. Citizen cobs are either 36 or 50 volts. The 1212 is 36 and the 1812 (autocob) the 1818 and 1825 are all 50volt cobs. In short you would divide the cobs voltage by the drivers voltage and that would give you the total number of cobs you could use. 1212=2 @ 23watts each or the 1812=1 @32 watts. I hope this isn't to confusing. If it is I can try again. No need to be embarrassed either. It took me a few times to get this myself.

I follow you up until the point where you reference watts.
If, using your example, I have 85v drivers and I'm using the 1812's. 50 divided by 85 equals 0.59. So one 1812 per driver right?

As for the watts, I'm confused. Is the actual led wattage based on driver voltage, line voltage120v) or led voltage haha

Basically. The 50 volt cob fits in the drivers total voltage. But 2 would not fit as that's 100v. 50x2.

The wattage is the amperage times the voltage.

50 volts times 650 milliamps(.65 amps)
50x.65= 32.5watts.

Okay perfect just need to find out what actual drivers I have and I'm off
