Our tap water runs about 8.6ph. I have read that you can use unpasteurized organic apple cider vinegar to lower PH. Seems to be working great. I used to use PH down from bottle. But I actually use less per volume with apple cider vinegar.Anyone else?

I always found it a bit sketchy to use acidic liquids that aren't pure or diluted with just water but I'm a hydroponics guy.. so take the next suggestion with a grain of natrium chloride.

Alternatively you could also use an air bubbler to slowly lower the PH of the water. For that I'd suggest 2 reservoirs, the currently active one and the "in progress" one. It takes a while to lower the ph that way.

Thanks for the suggestion...I haven't seen any nute lock out or deficiencies . Nor any slow down in growth. Space and time being limited, its not feasible at this time to have "holding" tanks. Great suggestion though.

phosphoric acid. available on amazon. As it breaks down it provides phosphorus to the plant.

We make high strength pH down with sulfuric acid (car battery acid) that can be purchased at any auto parts store. Google around for specific recipes, I believe we use 8-16oz per gallon of distilled water but it really depends on your reservoir size & how much you usually need to bring it down. Make sure you add acid to the water, not acid first.

This is the same stuff we get: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/autocraft-battery-acid-cycle-acid/2030000-P
