OK here's my problem I mix my nuts and then PH adjust them to 5.8 fill my bucket set the subject back in then add new PH adjusted nutes as needed but about 5 days in my PH in bucket is down to 4.5 ??? so now I'm going to be checking the PH every day to keep ahead of this . But is this normal for the PH to drop like this ?? I noticed my bottom leaves getting rust and curling so I knew something was up with the PH what would cause this to happen ??? and can I stop it from happening ??

OK an update last night I changed the water PH at 5.8 so I just checked it and the ph is down to 4.7 and it used 1/2 gallon of water over night . So an I correct to asum that when it drinks up the water and nuts its leaving behind the ph down and that is concentrating in the water that's left ?? Im using mood dust nutes 1tsp per gal Im going to increase it to 1 1/2 tsp per gall and set ph to 5.8 and see what happens. Any info would be welcome.

I wouldn't increase the nutes, it's sounding like you are overfeeding. Do you have a ec/ppm meter? When the pH lowers and PPM rises that is a sign of overfeeding. How's the temp of your water? Also how's the roots looking?

Make sure you keep topping ur buckets with ph balanced water when they do drink. Jackal is right if ph drops usually ur over feeding them.

I use A medical syringe with no needle to give my nutes and never add anything to the bucket except phd water between res changes.

My plants got really bad at the start coz i didnt know what i was doing with ph and ec but the AFN community helped me and got me sorted out and im sure they will do the same for you.

OK what should the ppms be ?? I have a meter and im at 800 right now . The moon dust says 1/8 tsp per gallon for juvinal 1/4 per gallon for young adult 1/2- 1 tsp for adult im 32 days in and it looks like this and im trying to keep the PH at 5.8 or so the roots are nice and white I was up to 1/2 tsp per gallon .

Im not sure with your nutes sorry. I use general hydroponics 3 part flora series with ratio of 1:1:1 for veg and the dropping the grow part of the mix for budding. I started my EC off a 0.9 and have slowly raised it to 2.2. Not sure what that is in ppm sorry.

Is your plant an auto

And i wouldnt top up with nurtients this is prob why u are over feeding. I only add nutrients when i do a res change between then it is plain phed water which was advised to me by seymour buds. I have a cal/mag deffixency but have read this is normal for LED grows and have ordered the suppliment i should have had from the start (beginers mistake) other than that no problems since

Yep its an auto I cant find anything on nutes for hydro pleanty of stuff for soil been looking around on different sites for a couple of days now and there isint much info for nute settings in hydro Ill back it down some and see what happens I guess ???

I rekon stop adding nutrient between res changes (just plain phd water) as i think this is your main issue from reading your first post. Your not over feeding if your adding extra nutes every day. If your ph still drops then change what you do when u first mix the res

Hey Im just kind of confused on where my nut levels should be to start with I backed down to 380 PPM . PH 5.8 water temp seems to stay at 68 deg. So Ill just go from there and only add PH water and start checking my nutes every day along with my PH and see what happens .

Top off with plain PH ed water like the others have said. Also, maybe consider adding silica blast which has a very high PH and may help stabilize your PH. It will also increase stress resistance and strength of your plants.

Are you de-chlorinating your water before adding it to your res? That could also lead to PH fluctuations if you aren't. Either way, continue to check every day to be safe. Things happen FAST in hydro, so you really don't want them sitting in a solution that is outside of the proper PH range fir ANY amount of time.

Good luck!
