I'm thinking of getting the ph perfect nutrient line from advanced nutrients but had a few questions about it first. What is the best soil/growing medium to use with this line? Does the soil need to be amended still? And will this line work with gravity fed well water with a ph of 6?

I use promix bx-no amendments added. Do you know the ppms of your water?

You can use Sunshine mix#4 straight. ProMixBx is a little high in PH naturally where Sunshine Mix is pretty nuetral. Whatever you pour into sunshine mix comes out the same way. Also this is called soilless.

No, I don't have a meter to test ppm

A ph/ppm meter will help you a ton when using the AN nutes,it'll help you keep track of the strength of your feed going in and your runoff coming out.

I just order a ph meter a few days ago so id rather not buy a new meter if I don't need to. Is there any other way to check my ppm? And wouldn't I only need to check it once just to make sure my water falls below 100ppm?

I don't know of any other way to check ppm unfortunately.Yes,you use it to check the ppm of your startup water but its a good idea to check the strength of your feed solution every time to get good results. I use mine when i mix my feed to check ppms going in and then i check ppms coming out. This way you can keep track of what your plant is using and how far you can push them with nutes.

Alright I guess I'll pick up a meter. Would you suggest a specific one? Or could I just grab a cheap one?

In the world of meters cheap is not good. I have a hannah combo meter #98129 that checks ph/ppm/ec. I had 3 cheap meters before this one that always crapped out on me,since i bought this one i've had no trouble with it. I don't like telling people to go out and spend money but the meter will be your best friend thru your grow.
