Well this has me stuffed , no idea what is going on here , I have just put in a double chlorine filter and have take some readings , tap water then filtered water , both out of the same water line [ town water ]
Tap Water- filtered water
Temp 32.5- 31.5
PH 7.9- 9.8
PPM 113- 201
EC us/cm 227- 400
so what is the go here , 3 times I changed the water to get the same reading . can someone please explain why the big difference , I would have thought the readings would have come down ? or should I run a 100 odd ltr to clean the filters ? they are good for 10,000 ltr so they say .

Your correct normal chlorine filters will not influence PH or PPM much--if at all.

Does the filter need to be run for awhile. My charcoal filters needed a good five gallons to run clean.

Someone may know what is up.

Good luck.
