Question for you you experts , if PH is so such a problem for us new growers , why is there not a product like Advanced Nutrients Sensi ph stable , but in a form that can be added to any nutrient , by this I mean , lets say 6.2 , so we add 5 ml per litre to give us the right PH , and when we water it's the same and holds the PH , as in the PH is stable all the way so PH is a thing on it's own that can hold the PH level know matter what we add or is governed by the different nutrients that make up each companies product which adjusts the PH level that such a product is not able to hold ? What I am trying to say is if I had 10 ltr of water and set the PH at 6.2 and added the nutrients I would still end up with 6.2 , I hope you can understand what I am trying to say here ,

This is hard to explain but ill try.. Its very hard or can be hard to stabilize PH inside any medium with a living thing growing in the ph' ed medium. The salts in the nutes you add to the ph'ed water will allays move the PH. everthing changes PH its something we all work out with experience..

I also think PH is the reason growers use different methods of growing DWC hydro soil coco because some growers just do better with those types of feeding systems. I use soil I do OK with PH in soil and its hard because if it moves, and its its slow move move again unlike water systems.

Id rather use DWC but i cant..

Man who ever came out with a product that automatically adjusted the ph and stabilized for you and kept it stable would be rich! It's one of the reason I was using an myself...I've since started using the canna line up and have found a feed amount with my ro water that after nutes added usually is right around 5.7 to 6.1, so I've been rather lacked with checking ph, eventually you just get a "feel" for it... same thing when I used greenmore, after a few feeds and ph readings I got it so I didn't have to check no longer...seems to be another one of the many advantages of going tlo...just give water and be done...haven't worked up the nerve to give it a go yet... :karma Cloud: and as much as a pia it is checking etc keep doing it as it prevent a lot of issues like nute lock out down the road...

Chemistry isn't that simple unfortunately it seems.

With the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect system you can't use any AN nutrients you want, you have the use the ones in the pH Perfect line. Some of their nutrients will mess up the PH perfect side of things. So even the people who invented this pH perfect system don't have it in a form that can be added to any nutrient.

It maybe possible in the future more nutrient brands better the pH stability of their nutrients and make their own pH perfect lineups.

It maybe possible that even further in the future they use nano bots that sense the pH and chemically modify the contents of the nutrient in real time to keep the perfect pH of any nutrient solution. But that's probably not going to happen until we're super old.

I don't really have a problem with pH myself though. As long as it's between 5.5 - 6.2 which is seems to sit in between long enough until the next res change. I don't really have a problem with pH.

House & Garden is working on a pH stabilization product. It was supposed to be released in Sept. but I believe it's been put off until the spring. I'm not sure if it will work in soil as it's geared to RDWC systems.

Wait a second... there sure is PH-UP[emoji651] and PH-DOWN[emoji652] In "PET STORES" Its very usual for aquariofilists to regulate ill tanks with such quick way. But ofc... you gotta keep in mind that the Ph itself is completely related and dependant to the environment in subject itself.

So rotening wood tends to acidify... decreasing ph

Some Minerals and rocks may be used to "alcalinize", increasing ph

And this will happen being in a earth mix, or aquarium (fish tank).

What sucks is to measure ph properly (measuring pens cost so much, and are so "fragile") and the cheap ph test may end up leading to excessive usage of the ph regulator which could result in a crazy war on dosing ph up and down. And trust me you just dont want to be dropping sick amounts of this crap in your solution.

In earth, I would use worms hummus...

I dont know hidro, but I could deal with aquapony, i guess.


The thing is that PH is the regulator to the root's ormosis.

PH is the key, In a fish tank for example, it is what dictates plants growth, bacterias.


Having a fish tank properly taken care of and in equilibrium sure is a hard task. And its pretty amazing if you stop to realize that you could totally feed a cannabis outta a pond... which is pretty organic.

We got a lot to study... sometimes i think: S#!t, I know nothing!

When in lust for info, I 'll use tapatalk to search several forums, Im always downloading stuff. From pdfs to all sort of e-books... I just hope I can ever contribute to this beautiful community with my logs.

And by the way i wrote tons but im no expert in any subjects here aborded. I only wish...
