So i tested my soil with this green probe thing and it says my soil is like 7 7.5 thats way high. I always end up with issues near the end of my grows this is probably the reason for them. My issue is correcting the problem I tried useing water with a much lower ph but soil ph wont budge. What should i do? I just took my AvsT early due to this. Ive got a 24c and a sweet toof going now I want to try and get this in order befor things get worse.

If you continue to feed at 6.4pH until run-off and have the plant elevated above the run-off so the medium can't soak it up your soil pH will drop over time.
What does the soil probe look like? It may not be accurate. I have a Blue Lab soil truncheon that I calibrate with solution before each soil test.

See the way the leaves are pointing downwards towards the end? Not clawing but, slightly bent? I get that when the ph is too high.

I don't do soil but, vorko ^ knows what he's talking about.

If i feed till run off while using kind soil will that wash away the benefits of the soil?

If your ph is out, they won't be able to absorb everything in the soil anyway.

Like I say, I don't do soil. I'm pretty sure though water till there's a small amount of run off. Some guys check the ph of the run off water, check what that is. One of the soil guys may be able to decipher the meaning.

Run off was at a seven. Water in was at 6.5. Maybe water at 6 next feeding. Another issue i think I was haveing is under watering. I have 2 plants one in a 3 the other in a 2 gallon pot. I put a half a gallon of water in them to make them drain off. The meter will help me do better with that too i hope.

@TreyDogg I would use pH 6.2-6.4 water instead of 6.0 because within that range the nutrients are more available to the plant.
@Ripper is the one to ask regarding Kind Soil, he has used it loads.

The plant looks great am I missing something? 6.5 is perfect.. what are you using to ph the water? I would suggest buying distilled water and just feeding it that. Oh and do not stick your ph meter in it as it will lie to you.. you will never get an accurate reading on it.. I add 1ml of mammoth p and just feed never look at the ph..

Hi all.... im new here but PHing in soil is not really a good thing.
If u must, use lemon juice or citric acid to lower ph or bicarbonate of soda to raise if you need to.
Unless you are using a true "living soil" then there is no microherd to speak of, but a lot of good bacteria and organisms that help to buffer the ph to usable levels.
This is just my thruppence worth but, playing around with ph when you are soil growing with organic nutes is a no-no unless you really know what you are doing.
