hello afn. I just need some re assurance on something. This morning I didn't adjust my ph when I watered. I always adjust to around 6.0-6.5 I'm in soil btw.is one missed ph adjustment something to worry about? My water is well water and has a high ph of 8.5 possibly more. Should I flush with ph water or am I ok?

you'll be fine :smoking:... do you know how hard the water is? --ppm's? If you have a TDS or EC meter, this will tell you,.... No need to pH that low (6.0) either, unless the soil is off pH as well...

Thanks waira and no I don't have have a tds or ec meter. I jus have the cheap color drop test bottle to test ph of water I know I should grab a tds or ec meter and will eventually. My plants are doing well tho and I'm on day 40 of a couple of fast and vast grow no signs of deficiency. But u think it's ok to use my water without adjusting the ph or u saying 6.0-6.5 is even too low? Should I just try to keep around 7.0. Soil is fox farm ocean forest btw and I know prob shouldn't have posted this thread in this section just wanted quick advice from some of professionals on this forum. Thanks for ur time

:eek1:-- FF soils have been showing to be very acidic, more often than not! some get good bags, others get shit that's in the low 5's pH! :nono: ... so, yeah, water w/o any pH adjusting for now, and look into a great tool, the Accurate 8 soil pH probe, which measures directly in-soil, the best way! The pH meter needs the calibrating/storage solutions (they are sensitive devices, and lose accuracy when not maintained right), and a TDS or EC meter is also very handy, not always needed, but critical at times,.. TDS meters are not expensive either compared to other gear,...the A8 is about $55, and worth every penny! The run-off testing method and calculation is iffy at best, and lousy most of the time! .... Posting here is fine mate, happy to help!

Thank u bud. I just thought my water was to high of ph to not adjust but from now on il stop adjusting. Plants seemed to like it that day I didn't adjust ph. I never adjusted when I was growing before but I was using synthetic nutes vs now I'm using organic. Thanks again

I also have a couple more plants going but in pro mix cut with a little ocean forest and perlite. Would u say I shouldn't adjust my ph for watering those as well? I read that the peat moss is pretty acidic on its own so I prob shouldn't adjust that either right?

Yeah one nothing to worry about just don't get into the habbit of it bro better safe than sorry is my motto
