It's great stuff IMHO.
I haven't used other premium composts so I can't compare to them but I've used all sorts of normal composts you can buy at the garden centre and Plant Magic beats them all.
You can use it straight from the bag and the most you have to do is break up some soft clay lumps or some Phytocell. if ye ever find anything else, call their customer support and they send you a new bag and collect the old one for analysis. I mix with a little Perlite and one PM bag fills 9 x 6 litre pots once mixed. Never had PH problems with it like I sometimes get with other composts.
Might be a downside to you but it doesn't hold water very long. I sow seeds directly in the final pots and i never get any over watering problems in six litre pots with PM soil. By the last couple of weeks I am watering almost every day but I think my plants love that quick wet dry cycle. If you don't then don't mix in any perlite.
It's designed to be used with the full range of PM organic nutes and has a lovely consistency that you will fall in love with it right away.
I have tested this current grow using only the PM compost. They get a dose of PM Boost at end of week 2 then fed Old Timers organic once a week from end of week 3 where they get a 2 weeks of just Old Timers Grow then 2 weeks mix of Grow and Bloom, then Bloom until 2 weeks before the end. Just water till the end.
The PM Boost changes the soil slightly at the end of week 3, turns it more grainy so when watering the water will run through really quickly but then will be soaked back up in 30 seconds. It allegedly makes the nutrients in the soil easier to get at for the plants and is beneficial to your microherd.
I've got their Catalyst seaweed extract if I see any minor deficiency's and Essence if any start looking sickly but haven't used in a while. I have a backup of molasses, vermiculite and bat poo for making tea with but again I haven't had to use any remedy's when using the PM compost.
I first used their non organic nutes but I was a newbie at the time but still got some nice results, moved to organics once i found out it was pretty much the same prices.
Overall I rate their range a 9 out of 10. Does what it says on the tin, could be cheaper though.
If you looking for a quick discrete UK supplier, I recommend Greens in Bristol.
Compost is a few quid cheaper if you can pop down to collect
