Hey @Yeatster thanx for all your help man how much of this diatomaceous earth should I use on this plant back label says 1-5 oz per 100 square feet of soil but I have 2 cubic feet of soil total in the tote? Pm me your mailing address mate and ill send u one of her sisters!

What worked for me is, I put it in a salt shaker and sprinkled liberally on top. Only dress it when top is dry and reapply after each water.

I tried covering the top when I had gnats and it made a mess trying to water. I read about "sprinkling" and tried it, it worked perfectly. For me, anyway

Be careful with diatomeaceous earth as it raises the ph of the soil, don't go overboard with it.

I put the DE down waited for like 3 hours then I put a thick layer of play sand over it in going to wait till Monday or Tuesday before I give her a drink. And when that time comes I will be using mammoth p and monster bloom I also hung 10 sticky rolls and made 2 gnat catchers.

I always apply, or sprinkle, the DE onto a wet top surface, that way you get a nice water permeable crust that doesn't wash away easily when watering again, and it's cheesy peasy to sprinkle a repair dosage on any developing cracks or "holes" in the crust....

Many ways to .... Ummmm.... skin a gnat, this way has worked 100 % for me, and I haven't had any critters since....
