Hello all, just joined AFN today, after starting my morning with a nice chillum of chaze. I bought a 3 pack last spring from attitude, and they all popped immediately. I started them in 6 litre smart pots and moved them to outdoor locations after about a week of growth. They did pretty well, considering the conditions I planted them in (fair drainage and less than 100% sun). They were done in mid Sept. All plants had a nice 20-30 gram bud surrounded by smaller branches up top, looking like a fat football. After drying, I noticed that some pollination had happened. I did have some photo strains nearby, but they did not have any seeds. Has anyone had a chaze herm out on them? Mine had a few seeds, maybe 40 from 50-70 grams of great sativa smoke. I will try to grow out a couple next spring to see what they do, unless it would be a total waste of time. I don't mind a few seeds in a bud, and I actually grew a fantastic kush female from a random bagseed last year. Anyways, Thanks from northern MN!

Welcome to AFN Jolson

Hi Jolson - welcome to AFN

I think pollination could happen with any strain in the wrong conditions or stress, but I just popped in to say hello :)
Why not pop up a hello over at introductions for a nice warm welcome from our members!

Happy growing
Blue ^_^

Hey Jolson,

Stitch, who developed the strain is on this site, he can probably give you some advice, or someone who is an avid follower (there are many here) could jump in and let you know what they think

Glad to have you on board.

Peace

hi bro

yes polenisation could happen for stress of the plant and in this way the plant maybe coukld herm a bit, this can happen....but for tjis im not sure that using those seedswould be the solution then cause this could give you worth herms generatio in the future.

Stitch said it all. You know canna plants are so extraordinarily sensitive. Seems they are programmed for procreation at any cost. Give them an excuse (or none at all) and there will be varying levels of sexual identity displayed--lol.

Even ripe and, almost all the time, if left beyond maturity for sometime they will shoot out the male flowers (bananas/nanners). Particularly sativas and other strains which are notorious for flipping. So they will try to make seeds, even, as they fade away into a mass of yellow and brown leaves.
But, end of cycle male flowers are a sign to harvest. And cause little problems if any.

Finding seeds pisses me off. No matter what state they are in. Tiny non-viable late pollinated seeds don't bother me. I laugh and say to myself you little beast tried--just not enough time to nurse the seeds to viability. I know when this happens--I missed a stress trigger or created one. Created one is likely.

No telling what pollen may have been in the area at the time.

40 seeds is not bad considering the 100's x when fully pollinated. Still it can make a calm person turn savage. :Sharing One:
