Hello again!
I am planning to start another auto guerilla grow this year. I am living in a slightly different part of the UK so have had to find a new spot, but I think I have found one. I didn't want to go too far from home because it will need regular watering so it is in an area used by dog walkers but I plan on hollowing out a large bushy area with only a small entrance hole. Much like last years grow spot which proved successful, if anybody remembers that. It also has pretty much a whole days light as it is on the top of a small hill. I will also look for others spots near the area as I am still early on in the planning stage.

As for strains, I plan to do between 15 and 20 Think differents, as they produced the most and highest quality bud. They will most likely be done in the same 13 litre pots as last time.

Hopefully the spot will be safe as it is near people but in a nice random spot that people are unlikely to wander and will be highly camouflaged. I will be preparing the spot in the next few weeks and plan on germination at the end of April/beginning of may.... Wish me luck!

Does anyone know what type of soil this is? I was gonna add perlite to it and some slow release nutrients if that's possible. Do I need to add some compost or is this decent soil. Its light and fluffy and I'm sure perlite will help. There's also a picture of the type of bush we hollowed out. What is the best thing to do when growing in the ground to keep it nuted and healthy whilst minimising the amount of times we have to visit. Any advice appreciated.

Light and fluffy sounds sandy, so you should have good drainage if it is, does the soil clump together much when you squeeze it in your hand? Try Googling "soil texture classes" or similar

It does clump when I squeeze it. I'll have a look. I know everyone is against it, but I am tempted to use miracle grow slow release nutrients later on in the grow along with other organic nuted (bat guano etc) because I want to minimise the visits. Is this such a bad idea? Or how else can I get slow release nutrients so I don't have to add them every week which will make a trail and risk chance of being seen

Hi Poppa

Sounds like you need to look into TLO (true living organics), and get a nice soil together that will work for you.
It's not my bag, but a very basic overview is, you make a living soil with all the things that your plant will need for it's well being (hopefully life)

.. and just add water.

Let me see if i can drop a note to someone to come and take a look in here and advise on that if you're interested! :)

Take a look at Swampmans TLO recipe and overviews

Very successful grower.
As with everything - there's some work to be done initially, but hopefully that will mean that you can have a stress free (and additional nute free) grow! :)

Swampy will try and check in over the next couple of days if you have any questions!

All the best
Blue ^_^

Cheers for the reply, but that all looks very complex and i dont really have the time, space or money to get all of those things and let it brew for that long. There is a 2 1/2 by 4 meter plot to fill so i will need alot which is too expensive and hard to transport. I was hoping that there was one or two more complete ingredients i could put into the soil, but it obviously isn't that simple lol. I will use a few guanos and research what i can put in. Does anyone know if continuous release ferts are any good. e.g Miracle grow?

Oh sorry, i meant to say in my first post. Miracle grow is terrible.

The problem with just throwing in food/guanos is the unknown strength and risk of cooking your plants (nute wise)

Maybe a mix of biobizz light mix soil on top and biobizz all mix soil 10 inches or so underneath (which is stronger) for the roots to grow into.

Hehe, if only!!

thats the problem, its impossible to transport all that soil to fill in such a large plot. Im planning on using the soil that is already there which is nice and light and im sure will have some nutrients in. Ill have to compromise and mix in some kind of fertilised soil with what ive got and add a light nute feed later once the plants are a bit older. I had decent results using bio-bizz adding it a just under once a week. I know they could use more when they're in their prime but thats the only realistic amount of times i can visit. Im going on budget and how easy it is rather than what's best for them. Hopefully theres gonna be over 20 plants so its quantity over quality haha. Thanks for your help!
