Aloha folks pull up a chair light a :bong: pass some:smokebuds:enjoy the all mighty's magic smoke with me while i embark upon my first grow. So out of necessetiy, stealth is of the utmost importance. I have 2 cabs with dimensions of 14 & 1/2" D x 27" W x 31" H. I'm leaning towards 6 32W 12300 Lumens 192W CFL with a similar rig to AndyBotwin's pvc job. I'm going to line them with mylar from survival blankets, fans for intake, out take and blowing on my girls from computers. My pots are 2 and 3 gallon smart pots with an organic mix similar to FullDuplex's but using my home made worm castings in place of the compost. Bubbled water, tiered transplanting, I have HBD & RRF, really hopping for a bushy pheno so I can bread for seeds then set one cab to scrog bushy RRF. I'm hopping I can get by using o2 rich h2o, worm tea and casting tea for nutes. I'm thinking 18/6 light cycle straight through. Is there anything else that I should consider or that I may have over looked? Help and guidance is welcomed and very much appreciated as several months of r 'n' d are coalescing into my first grow! :jump:
:peace:

Blessed be the all mighty and thy wonder weed! :smoke:

Welcome to the New Growers forum. Along with Joe Dirt we moderate this forum and are here to help.

One thing that jumps right out is your height restriction. By the time you add up the size of the pot, about 8", then the tiered pot, another 4" or so, then the height of the plant, plus the lights, it's going to get tight in there. You might want to forego tiering and either start directly in the smart pots or transplant into them to give yourself a little more room. Even then you may have to LST your plants to keep their height lower. I would also recommend that you stay with strains that are more likely to produce single cola phenos rather than bush ones. The bush phenos can get quite big. I've had some that have gotten over 30" high. They also tend to spread more and can require up to 2 sq. ft. per plant.

yah brotha i would suggest straight into a non tiered grow or a larger cab that will be ULTRA tight.

2sq feet, damn! That's a big girl :drool:Thanks for the input fellas. I know the height's kind of a bummer, but a buddy was practically giving these cabs away so they'll have to do for a little while.

If i sow directly into my pots and i get a male I could dig him out and put him in something smaller then put him in a window or something and that should be alright for collecting pollen right?

The LST method looks kind of neat. How well does LST work with Auto's? If i were to put one 3 gallon pot in their with a chicken mesh over the top you still think the bushy pheno would be too much? OR is scrog too much work like some people have said on other forums? b/c i am envisioning something like this scrog.jpg

Given my space constraints would 1 gallon pots make more sense to best utilize the space?

Thanks again folks :smokebuds:

Lst is superb for autos. Check out jackal's 6.1 ounce mi5 grow if you need convincing along with tons of others out there. Lst is essentially the defacto training method of autos.

Also, you title is horribly misleading. I'm a little let down :P

Haha! Sorry to disappoint Afrikaaner! I forgot that Jackal's wicked mi5 was lst, hmm i wonder why? :bong:
