Hey guys I really need your advice. Two weeks ago I have broken off the top of the main stem of my girl while LST, it was hanging down on the skin…I grabbed some duck tape straight away and placed the top node back on the stem and wrapped it with the duct tape tightly. To my surprise, the main stem has healed perfectly and has even grown a lot...it seems that the plant actually benefited from the broken main stem, simply unbeliavable. Last Friday, 20th November, I was watering my plant and decided to remove the duct tape from the previously broken stem, in order to avoid the risk of the duct tape cutting out the circulation because the plant and the stem are still growing. The duct tape around the stem became so tight that I had to use little scissors to cut the tape off the stem. I usually use those scissors to cut all kind of stuff. I accidently cut into the stem a bit while removing the tape with the scissors.

The scissors were not disinfected!

I then watered the plant with a 5,8 PH biobizz solution and the next day I have noticed that the leaves on the top of the main stem have some rusty spots on them. I didn't even realize that this might be an infection due to the scissor accident and simply assumed a calcium deficiency and the guru @Waira has confirmed the possibility of a calcium deficiency due to a possible lock out because of the slight low 5.8 PH of my feeding.

Please see the pictures below , these were taken 24 hours after the scissor incident , on Saturday 24th November.

The spots started spreading and became worse…they now look like rusty patches. Look below at the pics taken yesterday

I have researched the net a found out that the cause for those rusty spots is probably a fungus.

I actually wanted to make some CBD induced coconut oil out of this med gom plant for my father, who is a recovering cancer patient, but now I don’t know if its such a good idea to use a plant that is infected by a fungus to make the coconut oil for my father. What do you guys think, am I worried for no reason or is this fungus something to be concearned about? @Waira any experience with such a fungus? Do I have to be concerned that the fungus might cause some health issues if I make CBD induced coconut oil out of the plant or will it simply just decrease the yield by causing stress to the plant?

I'm not sure but I'm really starting to think that this is not a deficiency issue but a fungus that began to appear exactly one day after I punctured the stem with the scissors while removing the tape.

What do you guys think I should do?

Please advise

:toke:...no worries Noob, that's not fungal, just advanced Ca defc. symptoms,... looking at the top leaves, pale color, some interveinal yellowing, you might have some other defc.'s starting...Zn, maybe S,... damage at the stem from before might be restricting the flow of nute's up top as well, but that's just a blind guess based on what you've mentioned,...

Thanks for reassuring @Waira...I really thought that it's some kind of a fungus, which is the last thing I need.
