Grow Mediums Post Apocalyptic Grow Journal SYGAVLED 600W LED TEST

I was not subbed in here and just saw it again. Wow fire ants whoda thunk :paleo:. they must be very alkaline. Just looked it up they are!
Fire ant venom alkaloid, isosolenopsin A, a potent and selective inhibitor of neuronal nitric oxide synthase.
Almost never give up on a DWC. Things can go terribly wrong in a short period of time but then can get corrected and over it in just as short of time.

Plants that have been stressed by natural events (like insects) can respond with increased potency. A lot of the resins and exudes might just be what we are looking to improve in our crops. The plant defends itself that way. A negative that can also follow that same stress can be a hermie as the plant tries to produce offspring faster.

If a hermie happens do not throw that plant out. That can be a knee jerk reaction to a temporary problem. Just pick the balls off before they ripen. Often a plant will only throw a few.

The plants look good now. Keep up the good work!

I have been noticing that is week 6 and most of them are still at 5 inches. Should I raise the lights higher, 18" too close?

Yes that might increase the stretch some. Try 24" and see if that changes the growth pattern. How many hours are you running your lights, I recommend 18/6 for autos. It may be just genetic. My autos are always shorter than photos.

yeah I'm running an 18/6. I see them SUPER healthy all in all amazing root growth! They just tiny little bushy monsters that if I don't prune everyday they get out of control. for every leaf I cut 2 come out lol. I may be crazy but I look at that plant and it just screams. I'm so comfy with this light I don't need to stretch. Fortunately by April 4th I'll be getting my auto seed money and start some good autos. I feel like I have done research but at the same time well I'm a little loss as to the best strains for my area. Everybody over here locally either a) don't know what auto's are or b) are old school to the point that they don't like feminized seeds. I wanna be the first of my local group to successfully grow autos lol.

Of all the autos I have grown (not that many) the Zambeza Blueberry Auto is by far the biggest crowd pleaser great aroma, great flavor, great high, good yield under leds and was easy to grow. I topped it at the 3rd node and just let it grow. Dutch Passion is also highly recommended.

Thx Mañ'O'Green that definitely did it! I feel I failed to take into consideration that I'm using two 600W for just 4 plants. So i'm guessing two lights twice the power so I should've kept the distance farther. Idk if my reasoning is sound but the point is it worked!

Another update of the ladies. Week 5 and Week 7. At this point with this heat I'm just more focused on finishing a grow in hydro from start to finish than to worry about yields. While raising the lights helped considerably, they're not streching vertically as fast as they could but I have a strong feeling this bagseed is just a short strain. Because no matter what happens the vertical growth maybe slow but the horizontal growth is HUGE everyday and so is root growth. That's what leads me to believe it's more the strain. I think if I was having growth problems it wouldn't grow much horizontally either. But even if they have gained only .2 or .3 inches of vertical growth in a day, bushiness/horizontal growth still streches MUCH MORE. All in all asides from the scars of that Fire ant incident and PH lockout from the broken meter they look healthy to me. I think I could be doing worse for my first hydro grow lol.

Since I'm gonna get some money I was owed soon and I'm gonna be able to order real seeds I'm gonna put them to flower. The older ones are about 9-10 inches the youngest one is at 12.5" tall and 19" wide.
