Good luck anyhow you will not regret it...my friend has transplanted in his last turn 15 plants,and had 100% success...just be gentle.
although I never transplant autos because u never know what luck I will be

Jorge Cervantes has equation for pot sizes, and it depends on time your plant will go for.
Ive lent my copy of the bible, well worth buying.
A photo that gos for say 6 months needs a much bigger pot than an auto that goes max 3 months.
I had a photo in a 10l airpot for 6 months, the roots was a mass of notted roots at the bottom.....Dont think that was ideal.
Edit: I say to start plop seed in water for 18 hours then in paper towels in propagator in dark room, once you see root plop seeded root in biodegradeable pot then whack back into propagator in your grow room, keep propagator misted so mist every morning, within a week should have good growth and can plant with out desturbing roots.
To make sure roots aint hit by light if they break bio pot quick i have placed bio pot in mini plastic pot for safety precations.
