Love you all and your positive karma!!
New 2014 Dutch Passion Regular Strain in the Alien Hydroponic XL system !!
Welcome to my big 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m tent everyone!!

All I can say for now it that the genetics are named after a certain color and cross-strained, quite representative of the country of origin. Any takers? This has got to be one of the most obvious quiz questions ever !! hahaha...
Got 15 beans that went into soak in my super-secret-germing-broth on Monday the 25th November... I was a bit "worried" when 4 sank straight to the bottom. Maybe fridge moisture got through, maybe during transport, maybe they are duds... leaving me with 11 viable beans... statistically 5 maybe 6 females.. Sound good. Only want 4 good ones to get rockin'
Water temperature 24ºc, 6 hours later they all sank so they went into paper towel, a ridiculous 6 hours later, tap roots were showing. A personal record of mine, 12 hours since soak and taps showing! Only goes to prove that environment and genetics are equally or more important than medium and nutrients

The thing is that 14 out of the 15 beans cracked open!! So another misconception of mine fell to shame... Once more DP prove to be killer geneticists. Congrats!!
I wasnt expecting regular seeds so I have no propagator/incubator for so many plants, so I made one which turns out to be the cheapest thing EVER!
... Just head down to the local supermarket and buy cooked rice for 4 people to get a very cheap transparent tupperware-style thing. Then, using root riot cubes (I hate rockwool!!), instead on putting the beans this side as instructed...

Just flip them over and they'll happily stand straight like you see in the back - pop in the seed, moisten with super-duper-germ-soup and close the lid for max RH%nd light them up!

Leaft them be one day and they started popping out, 2 days and all 14 were above ground AND roots shooting out the boom. WOW ! So I immediately transplanted them into the veg lids. Had to help clear the seed shell from 3 seedlings, and the cotyledons were all free to start photosynthesising.

Now again, I am stumped as they broke the netpot heading for water in under 24h !! This picture is of 48h after netpotting them - and exactly 7 days since soaking!

So all in all a super great start!
Using Formulex & Rhizotonic as first two weeks of life until roots are properly in the water then switching to Canna Aqua and introducing enzymes.
EC 0.9
pH 5.6
