I think I'm going to go with Pro Mix for my first grow. Doing x4 Dedoverde Haze under a 400w in a 2x4x7. If I'm not adding anything to the mix, I should go with Pro Mix HP? As it will dry out faster and allow me to feed more often?

Also not sure if I should add any perlite to it, I it's 30% perlite as is.

I've used them all.. HP, BX, HP-CC and I find the HP to be the best and most consistent. I have never had to add more perlite or anything to it. It dries out very well and I've gotten great root systems with it. I add myco to the plug when I sow my seed straight in. That always helps!

Sorry this didn't get answered for you in a more timely manner! Hope you got it all sorted!

Would this work with sowing my bean directly into final put as well? Buy extra myco to sprinkle in the hole when I sow the bean?

Yes sir! That's exactly what I do. I fill my 1 gallon grow bags with Promix HP, water it with plain pH water, dig a little plug with my finger, put a little myco in the hole, place the seed right in and cover up. Then I water the area very slowly and gently so that it's moist and the myco gets activated but doesn't shift the seed any. On average I get seedlings up and out within 36 hours. Also twice a day I water the plug very slowly and gently to keep it moist under the lights. You want to keep it good and moist so the seed will sprout and the taproot will go down in search of water and cotyls go up to the light. :smoking: Not a whole lot of water each day just enough to know it's moist around the seed area. :pass:

I've been working on numerous germinating methods trying to find the one with the quickest germ and that gives the plants the best response for the first 10 days or so. That's what I'm currently trying to dial in. Will say I'm 13 for 13 on germinating though and only killed one sprout by my error. Just trying to get the same explosive growth as my very first grow lol. I'll have it figured out one of these times. Time to buy some of that white shark myco or great white or whatever it is and see if it helps. I went from presoaking the whole pot to only giving enough water to start the bean. Also will b transplanting 3 this round, autos, only this time, as I'm trying to dial in how much the roots grow and soil needs to b watered for my further grows. Just trial and error for now until I find what I like and works best I guess lol

Just use pro mix HP HIGH POROSITY for all your growing needs under led. Pro Mix BX is great for HPS or metal halide as it creates more heat so it could use the vermiculite to retain some water between feedings. Sunshine mix #4 is just as good as pro mix HP for led growlights. But bear in mind if using led and HP or sunshine mix #4 your ambient temps should be between 80 degrees and 85 degrees for optimum uptake of nutrients and a RH of no higher then 50% HPS ambient temp should be between 75 degrees and 78 degrees with a rh of no more than 50% have a great day .
