New Grower Problem With Plant?

Ok, I'm going to compound the possible problems, and I'm sorry. But it might be worth thinking about. Without watering till runoff you might have a salt buildup on top of what ever may be at the "root" of the problem. Sorry a little bit of a pun there. Just something to keep in mind. Salt buildup on and around the roots will lock out nutes causing all sorts of problems I.e. Yellow leafs telling you not enough n, while causing the classic leaf claw telling you too much n. Send mad amounts of karma your way.

Nam, how much run off should you have? Thanks.

X2 what Nam said.
You should always water 'til run off, and allow your soil to dry between waterings. Make sure it dries out! Too wet a soil will also effect nutrient uptake, among other things.
The run off will help minimize salt build up, and as it drains through your soil will help pull O2 into your root zone.
With many nute products, an occational "mini flush" is a good idea as well, just remember to feed with say the last half of your water.
This is a must read:
PH Calculation Guide by GoAuto6

Rough Calculation Guide:

Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5
Keep us posted, Brother! :Sharing One:
BTW, on the subject of posting , this would be a great time to swing by and introduce yourself to the family. https://www.autoflower.org/f35/

Good on ya brother redneck. This conversion is one to know, and is great for the basics. One product I use, or should say have used is Fox Farms sledge hammer. FYI just go easy with it. And remember growing is aconstant learning experience, and these lovely ladies we grow are the best teachers. I water 3 liters around this age, and always have at least 1/2 liter run off. I grow in 3 gallon equivalent air pots, so adjust accordingly.

The Ph level is around 6.2 -6.7 and current humidity is 63. I have never added enough water at one time to have the runoff needed to test the Ph.

So my nutrients don't have enough potassium? what is a good substitute? Thanks.
feed them more nutes and see what happens, up it gradually and they should be fine. also. look to see what the P content of th nutrients you use is. maybe switch to something with a higher P content. Also RAW sells individual minerals and the price is reasonable. Look them up with google.

I have to humbly disagree with that, Brother Pop.
Before throwing more nutes at the problem, pH management and addressing a possible salt build up seems like the best course to follow. It looks like the DN grow, A&B, work out to about a 2-1-5, with 2% Ca and .5% mag. :peace:

I just watered yesterday morning, should I flush now or wait until the soil drys up? If I do flush should I add the nutes in the last bit of water at 1/4 strength? Thanks.

If you didn't water 'til run off, I'd give her a bit more to drink, DarkOwl, and maybe shoot for 15- 20% run off. That will let you get a reading on your pH out, and will give us a big piece of the puzzle.
I would not add nutes this time. You may have quite a bit already in your soil.
The #1 priority should be to see what your pH buffers out to through your soil profile.
You can always add nutes later, Brother. :peace:

Well I went and bought a cheap multi-meter today and checked my Ph runoff and it was around 3. So I flushed the plant with about 10 gallons water and finally my run off was 6-7. What would cause such a drop in the soils Ph. Thanks

When you add nutes to water you drop the waters ph right? The same holds true to soil. As you pour your water in, the nutes already in your soil is changing the ph of the water as it leaves the soil. As you've seen for your sled your soil was loaded with nutes, way past any safe point for your plant. Now just let her dry out before you water again, and when you do water your soil will be a blank slate. Feed with caution, and remember to water till run off. Keep it green my friend.

Thanks Nam, I just read an article about not adjusting your ph while growing in soil. It also said by adding into your fert mix it makes it even worse basically lockout before you even add it. I will take some pics when the plant starts to look better. Thank you Redneck for your advice too.
