New Grower Problem With Plant?

[QUOTEThanks Nam, I just read an article about not adjusting your ph while growing in soil. It also said by adding into your fert mix it makes it even worse basically lockout before you even add it. I will take some pics when the plant starts to look better. Thank you Redneck for your advice too. ][/QUOTE]

Nam's the man, Owl!
No ego involved here, Brother, we just want you to have a good harvest! :tiphat:
You're on the right path!

Well said redneck, we are a truely caring community here brothers. All we want is for you to exceed.

...* holy crap! WTF happened to my post here yesterday?? Ghost-post?!* :cuss:
Well, the other guys have got you on a good start,... Some questions first: what brand soil is this? And the combo meter, is that one of the soil-probe types? If so, they've very poor accuracy in general, and no good for testing liquid samples especially! Do not trust those readings if this is the case,... That pH of 3 for your run-off? couldn't be right,.. do the calculations and see what I mean,.... what was the pH of the water you flushed with?
I see several bad things, some confusing, like the pale overall color (N defc.) and the clawing (N toxicity?); the spots are a tough call too,... all over the place, top to bottom, in random patches and tips/margins,... spots within spots! :dunno: ...gonna have to look into this more
As for that article you read, forget it! ... makes no sense to me; adjusting your nutrient soln. pH is critical, regardless of medium!

The soil that I used is Premier from walmart, I used a Ph drop solution test along with the meter I bought. I just read that peat base soils over time will become acidic as the peat breaks down, so I think that might be a factor in my ph problem as its back down to 5. I have been reading about dolomite lime which I did not add to my soil. I read you can add some to the surface of your soil or 1tbsp per gallon of water, what would be a quick and effective way to correct the Ph. Thanks.

A ph meter is a essintial tool. Doesn't need to be expensive. Buy some 7ph solution with it so you can adjust it.

How are our grandkids doing, DarkOwl? :Sharing One:
Grandpa is getting worried. "uuuuggghhhh.."

Yeah, a pH of 3 is defo something to be concerned about. Yellowing leaves... salt build up, and... now you gotta flush. Welcome to AFN by the way. I hope your chemistry problems get sorted. You gotta treat the ladies right... with science.

Here are some pics of the plant on day 55. 55 Days.jpgDSC02135.jpgDSC02137.jpg

Did you do the flush? Did it help? No offense, but that girl looks pretty ragged.

DarkOwl,

looking. pal. lush. girls. congrats. Hey. Yield. Heavy. Envious I am. eP.

Arrange the above into a suitable sentance
