New Grower Problems getting runoff??

It seems like no matter how much I water my 3 gallon pot, I can not get any runoff. My soil mix is (2 parts OF, 1 part LW, 1 part Perlite, Dolomite lime, and some dunks. I water evenly, then wait, nothing, I water AGAIN evenly, then wait, still nothing. I only water every 3 to 4 days, on average. Why is my soil preventing me from getting any runoff?? Thanks!!!!! P.S. I use PH 6.5 distilled. I probably use 48oz of water each time I water. Should I just water it, no matter how many ounces it takes, just as long as I see some runoff???? PEACE!!

Yes, keep watering until you get runoff. 48oz is only 6 cups. That's not that much for a 3 gallon pot. Keep going.

You just need to give them more water. I use 3 gallon pots and generally give a full gallon per pot, so 128 oz. Giving only 48 oz. per pot you're not getting water all the way to the bottom, which will cause the bottom roots to die off and will likely stunt your plants some. Always give enough so that about 10% runs out the bottom of the pot. Besides watering them thoroughly this also helps to flush out salts that accumulate in the pots as a bi product of nutrients being broken down. If they aren't flushed out they can build up and cause a nutrient lockout situation.

How old are your plants mate? If there seedlings or young uns they don't require to much watering.if they are established then follow the above advice :group:

How is your temp RH in the grow area?

Humidity is 40 to 50

It could be the lights but that seedling looks a little pale. Always best when posting pics to use natural light so we can see the true colors. Does it look a bit yellow?
