Indoor purified vs distilled water

What is wrong with your own tap water? Lets not complicate this issue so much or it will drive you nuts.I don't understand why you can't use your tap water. If for some reason you cant just go with distilled water that is close to neutral and adjust this if you have to.Lets just keep it simple and get on with your grow.

 nothing wrong with tap water.

well my tap water usually comes out at about a ph of 8 and i heard you gotta let your tap sit, so i just thought buying gallon jugs of distilled or purified water was easier.

my tap water comes out to a range of 8.0-8.5 > let it sit for atleast 24 hrs > add nutes when ready.

no need to spend extra cash where its unnecessary - use it elsewhere. :smokebuds:

I just use bottled spring water, PH 6.3 to 6.5, Fizzy or still. Normally Both.
They love the Co2 from the fizzy.
Had no problems reacting with feed etc....
Cheap stuff aswell, tescos do a good one.
To get rid of possible build ups i always water them till the run off water is clear.
No probs, nice n easy, just loads of empty bottles for recycling, everyones a winner! lol

The two plants i have that have gotten watered and fed with purified show no deficeinces and look super healthy but somebody else earlier in this thread said the bicarbonates will effect the long term yield :joint:

yeah i noticed that, so i spoke to one of my old school grower mates earlier, was meant to see his new Plasma set up but am stuck at home with a cold, typical.
Anyhoo he also said that it is possible if you dont give em a good watering, thats why i let the water run clear and ive had no problems at all over the years.

That was when i was using john innes compost, now that ive changed to BioBizz its not as yellowy pee looking, sooo must of been the soils fault. Hmmmm ill see what the next one is, I dont mean tho i flush them with loads of water, just enough for a couple of good drain throughs.

yea man same here i water till i get some in the tray under my pots and its generally pretty clear :bong:

I must admit i do get a bit lazy when watering, they sit and drain for ages whilst i stare at them lol. Wife thinks im mad but hey, its a smokers thang eh? :toke:

i use just plan tap water that comes out at 7.5 and after letting it sit out for a day, i then bubble it for a day or 2 and my ph rises to 8.0.. just add my nutes and usually drops to 6.3-6.4 range in which i use a few drops of ph up which i have in a dropper and get it where i want it to be at and feed my ladies. I have been seeing great effects with bubbling water..
