very true,Im growing outdoors too(just took some new pics actually of my spliff n Photo plants) but im using pots.LOL!But imo his book explains it well the entire principle behind using, growing, recycling and building a true microbe rich soil more towards growing cannabis.I threw the all natural stance out the window when his seedling mix was so strong it darn near burst into flame.lol.so I adopted an all organic living soil and ACT stance and guide per using teas and build a more veg, carb heavier soil with a little more food this time.lol but im recycling my current grows soil the Revs 2.1 recipe.it used the teas just fine being an all natural recipe verses organic TLO.his video explains it.i loaded it in the organics section if ya wanna check it out.kinda good, decent info there imo.and imo if you were to use that recipe or a few of the ones here since in the ground needs a bit more different build to it imo.have you looked at insect frass?i ve been looking at that too and it looks fantastic.I wanna try to add it to my re amended soil mix shortly.but I personally would make a hot mix and use rings of soil when using and a good sized plug thats mellow and seedling friendly and id think it would work if you added a couple components really.but dont really know, never done it..yet.LOL!Thanks"AFN smoke out" for your kind words buddy."AFN smoke out"

Hello From Sunny SA
High Guy
I have been lurking around the forums for a while now on the advice of MrMcBud. It seems like a nice friendly forum to make home :)

I am a medical growing in South Africa but due to or outdated laws i am forces to keep my practices low key on our local forums. I have decided that this forum seems like a good place to get help when needed and to maybe share some of my experiences with fellow growers

I am mainly a photo period grower but have grown out many many autos in my time , atm i have got
Amnesia Haze
White Strawberry Skunk
Northern vision
Flowerbomb Kush
Blue Dream x Temple
Tiger Temple
Temple Lights
Afgooey
Caboose
Green Bud
Blue Lemon Thai
New Blue Diesel
White Widow Auto (shs Test)
Chunk
Humboldt Purple
Kush Mix

I have a 2 tier Veg cab of 1.6m x 0.9m x 1m running Mh
Flower cab is a 2m x 2m x2m Tent running multiple HPS lamps and ofc being in SA i got the best hps around! the sun :)
I am a big outdoor grower as well and grow all year round. I am a pure organic growing and make all my our soils and nutes from only the best organic material , i don't use pesticides as i believe nature has always got the solution already.

For me its all about helping others . i produce balms , tinctures , vape oils , bho crumble and few other meds for a very select few people with great results

This was one lady outdoor , new personal best of 11.2LB wet yield

Top cola

Some random pics

I could add a lot more pics but i will leave it there. I am happy to be her and hope i will be able to share some ideas and learn some new things

Cheers

EoF, you should check out this guys posts. I am going to try his soil mix for my grow next season. I need my weed to look like his

those are in the ground eh?cool.can I ask if they're under a tree or get dappled sunlight or blocked for a fair part of the day?this may come across wierd but I was gonna ask if you have or had leaf miners, or something recently? But Im not the guy for pests to be honest,I usually dont have an issue.I prep my grows early on(or I try to do so) to handle and build on most things natural and organic and even some companion planting, that Id like to do at some point.but I have little dealing other than very basic with pests, but I thought I saw some curved lines or bites on like a thrip looking line er something..?...man ,I love those colors man.that one shot of that small leaf,WOW!Thats a deep dark purple nooo doubt man.:Sharing One:"AFN smoke out" Im gonna have to check out that SA guys grow man. Thanks Buddy.

Well spotted EoF, I do have a leaf miner problem this year all over the garden. The thing with me is I am very tolerant of pests and the like as long as they are not the biting or disease transmitting variety. Leaf miners bless their cotton socks are annoying from an aesthetic point of view, but do absolutely no other harm to the plants they chew on. We sad organic freaks know a garden is an Eco system, it's a not a grow room so controlling absolutely everything is neither advantageous nor necessary. And when the shit hits the fan - companion planting and an army of ladybirds will bring things back to equilibrium

As for sunlight the plant is shielded from prying eyes by juvenile trees and shrubs, but she gets 9 to ten hours of direct south facing sunlight cos the sun is so high in the sky.

if you read this journal from the beginning, you will see that I stunted her with cold very early on, but I also did something that I never do, I was doing counterintuitive stuff cos I had read it or because some canna 'expert' said so; when in actual fact 25 years experience of gardening and growing stuff is actually not a shabby place to start from to grow something that is actually a weed. The way the AutoMazars are responding is me doing what I do and not over thinking stuff or second guessing myself. The plant has built in intelligence, one can either aid it or hinder it, but ultimately the plant knows what to do if the conditions are appropriate.

thanks for your continued interest in my grow. :pighug::thank:

3 AutoMazars into the ground on day 22

So it's day 22 for the AutoMazars, and I put them into the ground and watered them in with only plagron power roots. If they look okay between today and Thursday, they will get fed on Thursday with BioBizz grow.

The Buddha purple Kush is still plumping up with bud. I got a good nose full of her today for the first time. I can understand why after growing ones own weed one just could never go back to dealer crap. The smell was soooooo good and so real; what can I say. I am now twitching to germinate my 3 Blue AutoMazar seeds (free replacement seeds sent to me by Dutch Passion Seeds after my misadventures with my original 3) but don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Also the yields matter, cos the idea is for us to have our own personal stash for the year. I don't know what the Auto Mazars will yield and I am really worried about curing, cos that has to be done indoors and my options are limited due to the pong.

AutoMazars Day 29

All 3 AM have more than doubled their height in 7 days. Serious stretch going on. Watered them with Plagron Power Roots and BioBizz Grow last Sunday. Today only watered with PPR.

Buddha Purple Kush by comparison is still her stunted self putting on bud I think (I don't really notice her doing much from one visit to the next) I am a bit confused re when to harvest her and apart from a feed of BioBizz max and bloom last Sunday have now stopped feeding her as I think she should be near the end, she is at day 76 (no laughing!) :rofl:I am leaving them unattended for 6 days so harvest will be sometime after that. I would appreciate any advice/feedback from people who know what they are talking about, re how much longer I should let her go. She smells intensely skunky......
